Thiruvananthapuram food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Wander around this area just after sundown and asorb a bewildering array of activities - from a group of blind singers belting out malayalam movie numbers over a pa system to a bunch of pentecost preachers rousing the flock with 'fire & brimstone' sermons. Also, if you are a hard-core non-vegetarian with the ability to subsume hygiene con siderations for the best chicken in the world, make a beeline for 'Hotel Rehmainya', a 100 sq feet wonder. Established over 60 years ago, Rehmainya purveys its special brand of melt-in-the-mouth chicken in a unique style.

Hotel Review of Jas Hotel
Comments: I had booked Hotel Jas,Trivandrum on the basis of internet survey.I found the hotel site interesting and refreshing. But when we reached there,it wasnt quite upto the expectations. The extrerior of the hotel looked fine, but inside it gave a feeling of suffocation with not so good feeling of cleanliness and orderliness.Lights were dim and atmoshere was bit cold. The rooms too were old types with not much enthusiasm in them.It gave a feeling of just staying there for a night ! Bathroom were big and better positioned but that was on add on available.Staff also wasnt too mannered and should have been more hospitable.
Best Experience: The hotel is well positioned in terms of proximity to the railway station, bus stand, main market and also the availability of Taxis to Kovallam.
Worst Experience: The rooms were stinking and the carpets were bad.Not enough sunlight.
