This hotel is located at the heart of the city MG Marg...a nice street, walk only zone...very lively. They play music on the street with Bose speakers! Staff were nice. The room service is very slow; which is probably the case with all places here, they take life easy...:) A nice view from the room with a roof-top restaurant; which also has a good view of the kanchenjunga. A very good budget hotel.

Our experience was cool as we had gone in April,gangtok as a place is beautiful and people are warm & loving.Hotel service has to be uplifted as in some cases it was very slow.

Best Experience: Best experience was that it was on the Mall road,you could see tourist having a great time on the Mall.

Worst Experience: None as such.

Overall experience was great. We can see mountains from Hotel itself. Hotel is in M.G Road and in that road traffic is not allowed so its good for Kids as they can play there. In that road always you can heard songs and there is Seats also avaialable. so its good to stay there.

Best Experience: Just opposite of Hotel Golden there is Masala Hotel and the food they serve is awesome.And just next to Hotel Pagoda there is one basement restaurant they also serve good food. The best time to go there is March and April when with ice u can see Flowers. Baba Mandir is worth to see. Local sight seen was also good . We went to yumthang and its also good experience. It took 7 hours drive and we stay in Lachung and early morning at 6 we went to yumthang and zero degree and returned to Gangtok at 6 in the evening. Its little tiring but good experience.

Worst Experience: yes the service is very slow and in December it was very cold.

LOcation was good the room was small but cosy with great front office staff food though vegetarian was good
