"This place is just amazing...."

  • Posted Jun 21, 2009
This place is just amazing. Right from the pick up to our drop at the airport, it was quite a memorable trip. A \'concept\' resort with a clean white look of the place with enough greenery helps you in having a relaxing experience. Its a lane away from the Kolva beach. You will forget all your worries. Surely, its value for money.

Best Experience: Very pleasant and co-operative staff. Extremely well maintained premise. The poolside dinner is quite memorable.

Worst Experience: Nothing..... One drawback is that it is located at quite a distance from the renowned \'Calungute / Anjuna\' beaches of Goa - So people who want to be there daily, might just spend quite some time commuting. Local bikes are easily available on hire.

"Well we checked in here..."

  • Posted Dec 31, 2008
Well we checked in here by accident. We were on the way to another hotel and having read the shocking reviews here as we drove past we just had to stop and check it out and see how bad it really was. Talk about a surprise. The rooms were spacious and fully equipped. The pool and cabanas surrounding were lovely, the bar at the back had a great view of the pool and fantastic ambience. Having thoroughly checked out the place we we went to the front counter to negotiate a rate. Unfortunately we were advised we could only spend a couple of days as they were booked for Diwali. We were later advised that we could be accommodated in the full periods and enjoyed a fantastic 10 days.

Best Experience: The staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating. Despite the fact that the wireless internet was down the whole time we were there (a fault with the ISP as we checked) the staff went out of their way to provide us free access using their main computer connection. Our standard drinks were quickly remembered as were our breakfast preferences. The location one street back from the beach is handy with many restaurants and shacks close by.

Worst Experience: We found that with the airconditioner on the room and particularly the sheets seemed to be continually damp. This was fixed by having the house maid come in around 9:30 and remake the bed with fresh sheets

"the thought \'goa\' brings to..."

  • Posted Aug 19, 2008
the thought \'goa\' brings to me the promise of sea, sun, sand and seafood. no matter how many times done before, its always great to go again. similarly, we set out this time too on this long weekend of independence day hoping to live it up the beach bum way! the hotel booked was \'soul vacation\' and pictures on the website promised a gorgeous getaway. we got there and were immediately disappointed. the maintainance and upkeep of the place is very sadly lacking. everything looks old and splintered. however, we were going to let nothing get in our way and promptly hired bikes, wore shorts and headed out into the lushness that is goa during this season. we luckily missed the worst of the rain and though we did get wet in the occasional drizzle, we were glad for it. after all, who has the time to ever drive a bike through the rain along the sea and actually enjoy it. we got wet in the rain and then dried off in the wind. goa is and always will be a prime destination though one needs to be careful in selecting the places to stay. hotels and tour operators often con you with promises and deliver not a fraction of that.

Best Experience: the saving grace of the hotel was its pool and the shower. and the fact that they have electric kettles that sometimes work.

Worst Experience: everything else about this place is at best, average to poor. this includes facilities, food, service, rooms, linen, front desk and anything else you would associate with a hotel. the photographs on the website are misleading and they are not at all flexible to help customers with regard to anything. service moves at snails pace and there\'s no motivation to make it an enjoyable experience for their guests.

The ambience of the hotel especially in the evenings was really good with soft music at the back. The food at the restaurant was really good. One thing that seperates them from others is their staff. They are extremely energetic being young and very polite. It was a wonderfull experience staying there.

Best Experience: Having wine at the poolside.

Worst Experience: dont remember any

"Very nice place to stay,..."

  • Posted Sep 7, 2007
Very nice place to stay, provided you don't settle for their deluxe rooms as these rooms don't have any view and are not that spacious. We had booked Deluxe room, but at the time of checkin got it upgraded to Luxury one. Overall stay was comfortable. The place was very clean and staff was very friendly. Food was great, but because of the off-season they didn't have many options available in the menu.
