Jungle Retreat Wayanad Reviews

This was OUR perfect holiday experience. Truly wild wilderness area, yet luxury cottage accommodation in the most sublime jungle location next to a waterhole. Only 5 rooms with an outdoor dining and lounge areas, all with wonderful outlook over waterhole and jungles beyond. Staff and guides were perfect. - polite, friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely delighted to see guests! - nothing was too much trouble, and everything was done to make our holiday so very memorable. Animal and bird viewing were fantastic despite our being there during rainy days. We don't have a single criticism and would go back again tomorrow.

There are no words to express how our experience was @ jrw. SImply awesome. We were greeted by Shijoe and Pramod and whilst we were being taken to our villa, we could see deer grazign near by. The children loved that. The Villa itself was made of wood and was situated close to the jungles. In the night we really felt that we were sleeping inside the core jungle!

Best Experience: Food had good variety ranging from Kerala porota to rice to rotis, duly acoompanied by tasty dishes. Since we were vegetarians, our dishes were purely veg, tasty and plentiful. We did get a chance to meet Anil the host who was eager to tell us about his experiences in the wild and would explain what the sounds from the jungle was and which animal was making it.

Worst Experience: There are no bad experiences. It rained the second day, so we we were indoors most of the time. But the view we had especially in the rain was just so amazing. We relaxed totally in the balcony in the comfortable chairs, drinking coffee, and just watching the rain.

Mind blowing! elephants outside your room early morning, wild dogs in the meadows late afternoon, the tiger roaring from the near by hills - made our stay simply awesome. tasty food, lovely service, fantastic scenery - all made the stay even better

Best Experience: has to the the night safari and the hours we spent on the watch tower looking for animals in the farm. highly recommended

The simple question to ask yourself is, why are you going to jungle retreat wayanad. And if the answer has anything to do with wildlife, then pack your bags! It is a fantastic retreat for wildlife lovers and since the retreat is surrounded by untouched forests on all sides, you are bound to see some action from the farm itself.

We had been to Wayanad previously also, but this time it is something different as we were into a different experience totally. We stayed in Jungle retreat, it was an awesome experience to see birds, animals and be so close to nature. Rooms we got were clean and service was also good.

Best Experience: Jungle safari was good and it was good to dine looking at the nature and birds.
