Though I have no major complaints against the hotel but I was too much frustrated by the behavior of the hotel managers Mr. Gopal & Ganesh. They were greedy enough to discourage you for getting better service. I booked this hotel through a manager from Darjeeling who was a nice sincere person. After arrival the Manager was asking for additional charges for my kid (4-5 years) about which nothing was mentioned earlier. After telling them about cancellation they agreed for not asking about additional charges. I booked the taxi (WagonR) through them but they provided Maruti Van. I have also been asked for additional charges while leaving to pelling after some site seeing in Gangtok. These managers are thoroughly unreliable & don\'t do the mistake to believe on them. This hotel is far away from the famous M.G.Marg in Gangtok. Instead of this hotel I like the Golden Pagoda & Nambling Residency on M.G.Marg. The food quality was not good & there are no more options nearby.

Best Experience: The positives are dominated by the frustrating & irritating behavior of the managers.

Worst Experience: - Unreliable & greedy managers. - Poor Food quality. - Far away from Market & M.G.Marg

I usually dont write any reviews but this hotel was so bad , that i decided to let people know the truth and dont suffer as i did. The only good thing about this hotel is the morning view of sun it provides, rest all is better unsaid. I satyed in this hotel with my family in december 2006 through Indian Airlines Pacakage and belive me i have not seen any hotel with service worse than this one. Gangtok is a great place , but i ll suggest to pl stay at some better hotel !!! anybody is welcome to contact me if they want any other details regarding my ordeal at this place at eklavyam@yahoo.com

Worst Experience: 1)The room only had bulbs , no whiteligtht and out of 5 bulbs 3 were fused , which made the room look dark and gloomy , even after asking for changing the bulbs so many times , it was only the next day they were replaced. 2)We used an extra bed coz and the quilt provided with it stunk , and had to be replaced. 3)The restraunt staff is realy bad , they make u so uncomfortable as if u r having something for free( we had breakfast and dinner included in the package itself), , even their breakfast was limited to toast and cornflakes, no omlettes , no jucies, no parathas. 4) The beds are creaky , the make noise whenevr u move in them. 5)The rooms have so much of voice leakage, we had to hear all kinds of unpleasant sounds from the bathroom of the room adjacent to ours.

the place it seems is quite new, and belive me it is really a very good resort, the service here is excellent. the room we stayed in was excellent. i was on my honeymoon and this place made my trip. it has only a couple of draw backs, first it is far from the city bazar, so u cant find any place else to eat in a walking distance, so u have to compulsary eat there only but anyways food is very good so it is not a big problem, another thing is that there is a police school or academy just next to the resort so u can get disturbed by the trumpets and drums that are occasionally played there. otherwise i would recommend this resort very highly.

Best Experience: the highlight of our stay at this place was the service. it was very good.

Worst Experience: nothing in perticular

The place is awesome.... The morning view from the hotel is breathtaking, one can see the entire gangtok from the hotel....the location is soo convenient , easy to get cabbies also plus away from the crowd.....AWESOME!
