The Thousand Pillared Temple, which is situated on the slopes of the Hanamkonda Hill on the Hanamkonda-Warangal highway, is one of the famous temples among travellers. This temple was constructed by King Rudra Dev, a Kakatiya king, in the year 1163. Built in the shape of a star, this temple is famous for its extensively carved thousand pillars. The temple houses idols of Lord Surya, Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.
Besides, this temple complex also comprises of a mandapam with a 6 ft Nandi that is located at the entrance of the temple. The temple also has carved doorways, pillars and ceilings.
