Overall experience was pretty bad. The people at the front desk were pretty rude. I wouldnt recommend this resort to any of my friends.

Best Experience: None.

Worst Experience: We were forced to check out earlier than the time we had mentioned at the time of reservation. We had made the reservation couple of months before the travel date

Great place to be at, if wanna get cut off from the rest of the world (hardly any mobile reach). Beautiful views from the Timber Trail Heights. Beautiful sunset too. Exciting Cable car ride. But...., and a big one at that, the front office.... slow, on the edge of being inefficient, not too helpful. Food has variety, but one wishes it had quality too. Rooms are big and with a view, but take insect repellents with you. If u r not a spiderman fan, take a Hit along cuz there are enough of them and they come in all sizes.
But a good place to base ur camp and visit places like Simla, Kasauli, Chhel, Chandigarh, etc. Ask for a certain Gurdeep Singh for car hire. He\'s their saving grace. If you are scared of taking an eight minute cable car ride across the valley, take a jeepable road for an hour and a half through small mountaineous villages and through some beautiful step fields on the mountains.
The place is nice, but could get much better!

Best Experience: Best part about the resort is the view that u can have of places as far as Chandigarh, especially on a clear night when u can see the lights leading all the way to Chandigarh (35 km by road).

Worst Experience: Front Office may confirm your booking and differ when u actually arrive, or u will be accomodated at the highway side resort before u move up to the Heights. There are insects around in the room.... no wonder they may find their way into food too!

The best part of the resort is experienced if bookings are made for the Timber Trail Heights, from where extensive views of the plains of Haryana and Chandigarh are visible. The 8 minute trolley transfer to the Heights is an exhililerating experience in itself. Options like rides and games are plenty to keep the accompanying kids (if any).

Well, the location Parwanoo needs to no formal introduction... it is a part of the lesser Himalayas and the weather is pretty hot during the day, if you are goin in summer... the evenings varies from pleasant to cool... the mountains will be almost bare brown, if you go in summer as we went... It will not give you a serene look like the greener hills but well, over all its peaceful...
Now about the hotel Timber Trail Heights... the location is fantastic, the property looks great, the rooms are also spacious and well appointed with splendid balcony...

The food and services are not up to the mark... some weirdly innovative chef decided to garnish fried rice with raw chopped onions... the quality of rice is much more inferior than what we cook at home... I found half of a sand stone in the pretty expensive fried rice , whose circumference must be somewhere around 10mm...

One of the room AC-s had given us constant blues, it decided not to work and we sweated pretty much at the night... Tea coffee replenishment was a real pain... I did a great mistake but calling the sugar packet, a sugar sachet, bcz little did I know that the in-room dining person over the phone was wondering what a sachet would have been...

The toilet had sewerage problems, particularly in the shower section. What I disliked most is the rude behaviour of the cable car operators... I dnt know, probably they wr thnking that we are dying enough to jump in for a cable car ride, without paying them the charges... It took us 10mins to make him understand that ours was a check out and we still had one more to-fro ride included in the package ...well cable car ride was kind of ok at this time of the year as U dont get to see the ravishing views of green hills or valleys... it is the same dry brownish vegetation along the valleys... I thnk if its a journey to Parwanoo, one must go up a little more and stay in Kasauli, which is much more pleasant and have beautiful sights to see...

Best Experience: watching the sunset from the balcony...

Worst Experience: Room AC
Bad Food
Flies in the room, poor pest control
