Konark food, sight-seeing and shopping options
The young green coconuts that awaits one just outside the world heritage site , really provides the much needed succour to the thirsty throats after a round of the Sun Temple. It also provides the opportunity to wonder with awe how such a magnificient chariot of seven horses and 24 wheels could have been made by people like us ,700 years back . Though a few shops are available whichsells souvenirs peculiar to the golden triangle of Puri , Bubaneswar and Konark, the best catch are the packets of Cashewnuts , which are locally grown there and are quite cheap, though care must be taken to examine thoroighly the scalew pans of the vendor before the weighing begins.
