I visited Tsomoriri in September 2013. I traveled with my driver Rigzen [the car (Innova) was provided by Hotel Omasila, Leh]. The weather was beautiful, temperature hovered around 10 deg. Celsius (during the day) and the view of the lake was superb from the resort. It is located very close to the lake. They have 5 concrete cottages and 10 tents. I had rented a cottage for Rs. 3500/- (per night). I booked it through M/S Nivalink.com. The cottage had a single room with attached bathroom. The resort has a room for the drivers. The view of sunrise and sunset was very beautiful from the hill behind the resort. I reached there in the afternoon. They provided hot water on demand. Electric supply was available for 3 hours in the evening. I had a torch, which was useful in the night. The night was chilling. They provided two blankets. The food was served in their dining tent. It was a simple but good vegetarian dinner. Next morning, they served a good breakfast with eggs. They had packed lunch for me and my driver as well. Next morning, I left the resort and went to visit Tso Kar. I saw many birds and herds of Kiangs (Tibetan ass). I returned to Leh via Taglang la, in the afternoon.
Leh is heaven on earth and belongs to the \'must visit this place before I die\' category. The good thing about the hotels here is that it is more of a \'home stay\' experience. Whatever may be the rate quoted by the hotel, you can bargain for less and they reduce the rate by at least Rs.300-400 per day. The people are very friendly and this place does not seems to have an \'commercial\' outlook like most of the tourist destinations.
Tsomoriri Resort & Camps at Tsomoriri Lake are the only place to stay at Tso moriri. Its at an amazing location. The service is very good. You will be provided up to date medical facilities for those who may be affected by High Altitude sickness besides first aid services
Hotel is located near the taxi stand of Leh. It is good hotel from seeing outside but it is not completed and looks incomplete. Its staff is somewhat cooperative with customers as they know the value of customers. Food is good. I saw the kitchen of room it is in a very hygienic condition.
This hotel is completely value for money. A decent 3 star. The staff and the owner is more than warm and humble. Its located in the main bazar, almost everything(ATM, Market, Restaurants, Air line offices, Medicine shops etc.) are on walking distance. They have their own cyber cafe. I have stayed there twicw and would stay there everytime I go to Ladakh, its very nice!
