About Uma Maheswara Temple

The Uma Maheswara temple is situated on the shores of the Nagavali River in Gujarathipeta. It is popularly known as the Panchayathan Alayam, as five deities are worshipped at this temple.

The temple is believed to have been constructed by Saint Therthanarayana and is around 150 years old. A Shivalingam in the temple is believed to have been enshrined by Lord Balarama, brother of Lord Krishna.
