Rajasthan food, sight-seeing and shopping options
City Palace, Jantar-Mantra, Amber Fort, Jai-Garh Fort, Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Local Markets, Birla Mandir are major attractions.
Food avilability is good n rates are ok just like Delhi,
NCR. Shopping is a good experience, one should buy things on very good price with bargaining.

Hotel Review of Umaid Bhavan Hotel
Comments: It took us a while to locate the hotel, with many people redirecting us to others. But we made a right choice sticking to Umaid bhavan(3*).It is very beautiful, economical, clean and peaceful.
Best Experience: Food was excellent served on the roof top restaurant,we had prompt room service and helpful staff who guided us with directions and other support like arranging for guide etc..
I Would recommend it to all pleasure travellers.
Worst Experience: Nope

Hotel Review of Umaid Bhavan Hotel
We stayed in Umaid Bhavan from 22.10.06 till 26.10.06. The Hotel is Ok in terms of decor, ambience & looks. The service was disgusting. The owners were more interested in serving the foreign visitors than us. In fact we had to actually take up the matter with owner to ensure that we gor normal service. The food however was good. The rooms were very average & the hotel overall was much below our expectation. THERE CERTAINLY ARE MUCH BETTER OPTIONS...

Hotel Review of Umaid Bhavan Hotel
Run by the family of a retired Air Force Doctor, the youngsters in charge are a helpful lot.It is quite an old building but not the classic heritagehotel.More like a guest house than a full fledged hotel.Service ,rooms ,food are all fairly basic, but adequateIf you are looking for a heritage resort experience there are perhaps better options in Jaipur. But overall a convenient place to spend a few days in the city and good value for money...

Really meant for Lonely-Planet-Guide-toting foreigners. It's really a guest house, not a hotel. Decor is definitely interesting....

Hotel Review of Umaid Bhavan Hotel
My friend found this guest house on the net the day before we arrived in Jaipur. Wasn't exactly sure of what to expect, as most know you can't always trust pictues on the interenet. Our delight and excitement when we turned into the street and saw it lit up was almost out of control. Having only stayed in 5 star accomodation in Mumbai I was so pleased to be staying in something more traditional with the feeling I was actually...
