Exquisite of Rajastani style/color all over the hotel - rooms, corridor, staircase, entry dining hall. Photographs of royal staff enhance the look of Haveli. In fact, when you come back from the visit to fort and palace you feel that the hotel also houses similar found in sheesh quarter The furniture in the rooms - the bed, wardrobe, writing table, chandeliars, night lamps, etc. Make you feel that you are in a Haveli. The Bath room also gives you the feeling of Haveli - excellent fittings, mirror, even the windows. Nice hotel situated in the peaceful region. The hotel is stylized and decorated luxury style which makes whole atmosphere beautiful. It is built in classical style and it looks beautiful from outside as well as impressive. The rooms are luxury and furnishings are very nice. Delightful veneer, the extravagantly planned rooms, wonderful wash room. Rooms has refrigerator, all necessary amenities, hot water. The entryway is looks luxury, beautiful paintings, the pool, the housetop restaurant were all flawlessly enlivened and outfitted with tender loving care. The terrace restaurant is very modern and stylish and offers good food. Staff are caring and friendly. The colossal rooftop porch with a perspective over the city. It blows a same wind beneficial. The menu is broad yet it conveys what it guarantees.
The ambience of the hotel was very good. The food was very nice. The quality and quantity of the food was good. Varieties of options were provided. The room was good, neat and clean. The interior was maintained. The external appearance of the hotel was excellent. Reaching the hotel was very convenient. The staff were very humble, prompt and quick in their service. It was a perfect place for a family holiday. I would recommend this hotel to others.
We stayed in the hotel for 2 days. Pick up from airport at reasonable charge was convenient. The location is very convenient for the city Tours. It is located on a small side road and convenient. Only the frontal was very small and not noticeable. It is not a big Haveli but a comparably smaller old building, but well developed as a hotel. So it does not have garden or such nature around. The rooms and the hotel as a whole was very nicely and elaborately decorated and painted with very nice local ethnic designs. The rooms were very comfortable, well furnished, clean and neat. Service was generally good. Restaurant and the complimentary breakfast was also very good. In totality it is a very good choice, especially considering the economical price offered on the website of the hotel. I could directly book the hotel from the hotel website conveniently. The hotel also arranged for a very good guide for city tour at a very economical price.
Location was convenient and not faced any problem to reach the hotel. Staff behavior was cooperative. Inside and outside appearance of the hotel was good. Rooms were spacious, neat, clean and maintained. All amenities like TV and geyser were available and were in working condition. Garden view was available from the room. Food taste was delicious and varieties were available. Activities were not seen in the hotel. Sightseeing trip was not arranged by the hotel. No delay in check-in and check-out. It was a relaxation trip with his wife.
Ten of us were staying in four rooms and we booked months in advance. Four deluxe rooms. When we checked in they upgraded to a suite" and then asked the rest of us to stay in these ridiculously tiny rooms that had twin beds. After requesting and pleading as we had an eight month old with us, they gave us one room that had a double bed. So clearly we got the worst rooms and there were better rooms. The rooms that we paid for! The next day they shifted the second couple to another room with a proper double bed like above . . The hotel is beautiful. The food is good. Rooftop restaurant is fantastic for breakfast and dinner Service is beyond terrible. Repeated phone calls for water/room service and it never turned up. Special mention to the Front Desk during the day. The guy literally spews venom at the Indian residents. Sugar sweet to the non Indians. So damn sad. I asked any question, he'd go "please go Google it". No hot water in room 103. I left it on for 25 minutes and yet it was Luke warm. When its hailing, that's not good enough They lied multiple times about availability of rooms and requests for late check-out. Eventually the manager (I think his name is Karan) was nice enough to give us one room for late check-out as our Air India flight got delayed and we had two senior citizens and one kid.
Location was good. Inner and outer look of the hotel was beautiful. Rooms were well furnished, neat, and clean. AC and other basic amenities were available. City and garden view was available from the room. Services were fully sufficient. Food was tasty. All varieties were available in veg. And non-veg. Indoor and outdoor activities were not available. Staff was cooperative. Reception was fantastic. Jaipur place is mind blowing to travel. I traveled Jaipur in February with my family. It is a recommendable hotel for travelers.
If you want to experience true Rajasthani culture when visiting Jaipur then Umaid bhavan Hotel is the place for you. The hotel is really beautiful with traditional paintings, bright colors and the beautiful architecture. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Our check-in was hassle free We loved our room. The king sized antique looking bed was so comfortable. The room was very spacious. The TV and A/C worked smoothly. The bathroom was very clean. The room service was very efficient and quick and we really liked the food. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Whenever one thinks of Rajasthan, the first thing that comes to mind is heritage, palaces, bandhej (sarees and suits) and the royal culture. Keeping in mind these we choose Umaid Bhawan for our two day stay in Jaipur. The property is graded as heritage hotel, made out of an old haveli and converted into a hotel.
This is a hotel which gives you a palace type feeling when you stay here. It's a perfect blend of heritage and luxury. The best part of this property is that it's well maintained in spite of being so old. The staff here is excellent and courteous and will ensure that they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and the furniture in the room is made of pure teak and is very old but well maintained. The pool is small but clean. The food is excellent especially the Rajasthani cuisine. Do try the Dale Baati and churma here as it was very tasty. The lobby and the front office had a very traditional look which matched with the entire look of the property. Would definitely come here again with a bigger group during my next trip to Jaipur.
We were a group of 5 people and we had booked two rooms in the Umaid Bhawan hotel. The check in process was very smooth. The guy at the front desk seemed really polite and courteous. He told us everything about how to get to the famous tourist spots in the city and how to deal with the shop-keepers while shopping for Souvenirs. Our room was pretty nice. It was decorated in a traditional Rajasthani style. The bathroom also was pretty good. The food of this place was amazing. We especially loved the dal-baati-churma. I had a really good time at this hotel and I would recommend it to everyone.
We did not face any problem in reaching the hotel. The hotel location was convenient and situated in the mid of the city. The railway station and bus stand were just about 2 kilometres away from the hotel. Inside and outside appearance of the hotel was okay. There was no delay in check-in and check-out process. The staff members behaviour was not very good. Services were not provided in time. Rooms were not provided as per the website. Garden View was available from the room. Washrooms were neat and clean. Food quality and taste was good. Varieties like Veg and Non- Veg food were available. Service system was available. Activities like swimming pool, indoor outdoor games were available in the hotel. I would suggest them to update the right information on their website. I was on a holiday trip with family. Hotel staff helped us with a guide.
My friend found this guest house on the net the day before we arrived in Jaipur. Wasn't exactly sure of what to expect, as most know you can't always trust pictues on the interenet. Our delight and excitement when we turned into the street and saw it lit up was almost out of control. Having only stayed in 5 star accommodation in Mumbai I was so pleased to be staying in something more traditional with the feeling I was actually in India for the first time since arriving. The artwork and hand painted walls just amazed me. I was in awe for the first few hours at all my eyes could take in. We ate dinner their the first night and couldn't complain about the food or the prices approx 200 rupees for the two of us. There are no fridges or safes in the room but the hosts were kind enough to keep some drinks cool for us in the kitchen. Never at any time felt unsafe or that things would go missing. The staff, although found it hard to understand us, were friendly and always had a smile.
