Another
place worth exploring is the Vazhachal
Falls, which is a
picturesque waterfall as well as a popular picnic spot located on the periphery
of the Sholayar forest range in Kerala. It is part of the Chalakkudy River
and its cool, misty waters cascading down with the backdrop of thick green
forest and rocky terrain make for a breathtaking experience. It is located
approximately 3 km from Athirappilly. The route from Athirappilly to Vazhachal
is marked by a small waterfall right in the midway.
