Lake in Mahabaleshwar

Venna lake is one of the major attractions of Mahabaleshwar. The lake is self constructed with tress and greenery all around. Huge lake with boating option. There are many other activities to do. It is crowded with people but during summers the water level goes down which makes it not so pleasant view.

A boat ride, horse ride, merry rides & chill place to eat & relax

This is THE place to go boating- boat rates vary by sizeds, capacity and timorously 250 to 750 INR per hour approx. ). You can take a boat by yourself or have an oarsman take you around the lake for a serene, peaceful (might remind you of the Dal lake ride in Kashmir) tour around the lake.Once you get this done, you can opt for a single lap of horse ride or just a few meters away take a ride on ferris wheels, go karts etc.Lined on the opposite side of the lake are plenty of food stalls (what would we do without them off erring the quintessential Chai, maggi, bhajiya, ice-cream and the likes of bhutta, vada pav missal etc.On weekends you must be aware of the traffic and the related crowd (reminds you of dombivili station at 8:20 in the morning)A free to walk place with a sidewalk for visitors just wanting to spend time staring at the lake and enjoying some peace and quiet.

Nice attraction

Nice place for couples to take a ride in a boat. A bit crowded but worth a visit. There are also horses waiting for a ride along the lake side. Pay 100 bucks and take some photographs on the horse. Number of eateries nearby serving chats and stuff. Nice attraction overall.

Boating Lake

This lake is very big in Mahabaleshwar. There are boats for the boating lovers. Nearby there are horses for riding available. The place is full with the food stalls in the evening time making difficult for the tourist vehicle to cross from the place. The place is really enjoyable.

What a mesmerising view it was !!

I traveled to Mahabaleshwar in July with some friends and when we reached to this place, the we were just awestruck with the beauty it was holding at that moment. It was heavily raining at that time. There was fog everywhere so boating was closed at that time. We were not able to look through the lake though. But the view, all of it, was amazing and it was more amazing because of the rain. We enjoyed some sweetcorn there with some tea. It is a very good place to visit, especially in rainy season, and a must watch place.

Venna lake boat ride

I went with my mom and a friend. Although it was raining heavily we decided to do the boat ride in Venna lake. After initial turbulence we were able to enjoy a smooth ride with beautiful view in the fog and rain. We even tried our hands at rowing. All in all a memorable experience.

Must visit during but before sunset time

This attraction closes at 6pm and for shared paddle boat of 6 person, they charge Rs. 440 for an hour. There is no automation or fast ticketing service available you have to be in queue for minimum 15-20 mins to get the token ( swipe card like atm-card ) but it is worth waiting, you will love and enjoy boating when you experience once. Climate becomes very beautiful at evening time, better to visit around 4. 30pm so you get the tickets by 5pm and take the most out of it. Paid parking is also available, bit crowdy area because of traffic.
