Veronica Guest House Reviews
This is the best place if you need sound and quiet sleep and time. Great for couples and family. Very close to beach. Awesome amenities like TV, AC, heater, fridge, balcony at affordable price. Very great hospitality too. The owner does minor adjustments for you too like modifying booking, cancellation etc.
Stayed here for 4 days. I must say this is one of the best option you have in Calangute. You will get more than what you have paid. Mr Joseph is very nice and polite person. He arranged taxi for us at very reasonable price. Hotel is very peaceful and just 5 mins walk from beach. They also have their restaurant. Again GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.
This is not a hotel, it is a guest house as its name suggests. So don't expect facilities like room service, food in your rooms etc. But it has got a very good restaurant where you can enjoy delicious food on decent prices. Location wise it's also nice if you don't want stay in the middle of main road noises. Also, they provide bikes on rent and ch....Read More
The location is near the beach which is useful. Service is Good, we could get all advice to enjoy the spots in Goa. Rooms are better and value for money. Rooms are clean enough and facilities as per demand.
Poor hygiene, smelly rooms, dirty bedsheets that it caused itching... TV was not working... Moisture in rooms... Outskirts location that it took half an hour to find the hotel... No value for money.
Location of the guest house is the only thing positive about my stay in Veronika. Rooms were OK but bed sheets were dirty, on requesting another set of dirty sheets were given. Bathrooms were clean though. Room service was non existent!! Even water not served. I urge everyone to strictly avoid the adjoining restaurant, I had the worst possible food....Read More
Value for money, cosy and clean rooms, fine location and good WiFi. If I ever go to Goa again, I'd happily stay there. The only issue that I can mention was that I couldn't get the air conditioning in my room working and since I did not care much, didn't ask anyone to fix it.
Very nice hotel and service I like it. Any time for your help and spice your respect. Hotel and beach very near and I like this place and hotel I am happy for your travel. Couple and family can your travel any time hotel and guest house service very nice.
The location is close to the beach (walkable distance) and lot of small shops where you can shop for clothes, bags, accessories etc. You can also find vehicles for rent. If you inform the hotel owner he will arrange for the same. We booked this hotel through makemytrip for very reasonable price. The room was neat and clean, free Wi-Fi and had a nea....Read More
This is not a completely hotel it is hotel cum residential causes disturbed by hotel owner family. It should be only hotel not residence then it would be better for owner as well as visitor. However it is cheaper than others. Overall review is poor from my side.

Booked AC rooms for 6 nights at 50% off and found it complete value for money in below 1000/night range. Location: Is somewhere deep inside, not too far from Calangute beach (~1 km) but is in a dark corner of the road. Appearance: Is pretty good. A different kinda villa like guest house look. Food: Is not allowed to be served in your room. There is a restaurant/bar attached to the guesthouse which is decent in terms of taste and price. Is open till 11 in the night but. Service: There is no intercom inside the rooms. You will have to find the owner or his mom near the reception area if you want anything or call him on his personal cell. There were no towels or soaps or water already available, but were provided immediately after asking for them. The room cleaning and bed cover change also happens only on request. A refrigerator was also available, which is pretty operational to store your beer cans. Cleanliness: The rooms were pretty spacious and clean, so were the washrooms. You might find one or two harmless cockroaches around the cupboard. Well designed almirahs cum dressing tables are there. Other services: The owner helped us in getting a two wheeler and drop-cab till station at good price and was very friendly. The market is not too far where you can satisfy your taste buds and shopping needs. Caution: There is no double bed. Is two beds joined as one with two separate beddings on it. It could be damn irritating every time the two gets separated on slightest of your movement while sleeping. We faced less problems but could be more troublesome for couples.
My wife and I visited Goa this time to relax and enjoy the place for 8 nights (23rd October to 30th October'2013). What we had in mind was to get the real feel of the place, the sea, the people there, their food, culture....whatever makes Goa "GOA". And we were thrilled. We had booked the room through net. When we reached, we found the room and ambiance better than what was projected on the website. We had booked an double-bed AC room, first floor front side. Be it the tv, or the bed, AC, or hot water service, everything was good. It is very private place with no disturbance. The owner Joseph is an efficient, helpful humble guy. He arranged for our South Goa trip on a bus, guided us to hire a bike from the next day and himself furnished us with a map of the place with helpful guidelines. The guest house provides pick ups. And we must mention the driver Rohan, who is an amazing guide. Housekeeping is available whenever asked for. The number of staff is few since it is a guest house. No room service was available. We wish there was. Goa is a costly place except for petrol and liquor. Veronica is a budget guest house, but we loved the location(2/3 minutes walk from the beach & 15 minutes walk from main calangute beach), ambiance and their restaurant. Though their restaurant is costly.......well, rather say costlier. We had tried food at at least 20 other places in Goa. But Veronica restaurant, we felt, served the best fish and Goan delicacies possible. Squid, shark, king fish, prawn, pomfret, shellfish, kite fish - you name it and they have it....just the way you want it, fresh and steaming. Sammy, the restaurant owner and Aggie the service man were extremely innovative and caring. There are a few moderate-budget good vegetarian restaurants as well as a non-veg dhaba at the main Calangute beach. One thing we suffered for was the morning tea. Veronica restaurant serves you only after 8:30 a.m. Be it coffee or tea, it's costly and not available here and there. So it's better you carry your own tea-maker. As liquor is really cheap in the off-shops all around Goa, grab it and have it. Don't waste money drinking liquor at restaurants. Goa is a small place and a good one to venture on bike. So, instead of going on a conducted tour, next time we would only take a bike. Thanks to the peaceful at-home feel Veronica gave us we had a great stay. We suggest you too take a front side first floor room and enjoy the tranquility. Don't forget to try shark fry with a good whiskey sitting in their lavish balcony. So cheers............ :-)
Best hotel.. Good experience in hotel. The people there are very cooperative and helpful This is very near to beach silent area AC working properly and also generator facility available had a great time.. Cool place with balcony chairs.. Enjoyed a lot.
Makemytrip you made my trip.. Pleasant stay.. Decent rooms.. AC.. WiFi.. Power Backup.. Filtered Water for every use.. TV.. Restaurant (though bit expensive).. Cctv surveillance.. Bikes for rent..
