Veronica Guest house is value for money. Easily to locate and is at a good location. It's a very nice silent place. The rooms are quiet good. It was my birthday so my wife wanted to give me a surprise so she called up for some birthday arrangements before our arrival at guest house and it was very nicely arranged. The cake was good, the room was decorated with balloons and bouquet. The guest house has all the facilities like cab booking, bus ticket booking, bikes on rent, mobile recharge, internet, Wi-Fi etc. The restaurant there is of average quality but you can find good food nearby. The owner was helpful in nature. I would recommend this guest house if you want a good affordable and peaceful stay.

This is managed by a father and son. They know their work. Provide free Wi-Fi which is pretty good. Hotel is very near Calangute beach. Location is a big plus for this hotel. Service is awesome here. Didn't try the food here. They have put pretty fancy chairs at balcony area and balcony are pretty big. Recommended hotel a value for money.

It was a good place to stay with light budget, it was near to Sea beach and staff was good. The only problem was its bit inside but rooms were spacious and very good, water supply was very good. It has its own food area where you will get homely food.

Excellent hotel, good and well-trained staff and homely services. My friends and I had decided to go to Goa since January but from the beginning I knew where to take a stay. Since my parents and uncle had already been there a decade back. Its very excellent.

We as family has visited Goa last December. This is a really budgeted Guest House, don't expect facilities like Hotel, but you can feel very safe and secured here, like home. Very close to Calangut beach, Room was nice and clean. There is no room service here, choose non A/C room during cold season, staff are very cooperative and helping.

The room was very traditional and the hotel has a restaurant of South Indian and North Indian style with veg and non veg food. The location is about 2km from the bus stand and a walkable distance to the beach. An activity like camp fire was available. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and were booked in advance through online. They arranged a cab for sightseeing purpose and it is worth to stay.

My wife and I visited Goa this time to relax and enjoy the place for 8 nights (23rd October to 30th October'2013). What we had in mind was to get the real feel of the place, the sea, the people there, their food, culture....whatever makes Goa "GOA". And we were thrilled.

We had booked the room through net. When we reached, we found the room and ambiance better than what was projected on the website. We had booked an double-bed AC room, first floor front side. Be it the tv, or the bed, AC, or hot water service, everything was good.

It is very private place with no disturbance. The owner Joseph is an efficient, helpful humble guy. He arranged for our South Goa trip on a bus, guided us to hire a bike from the next day and himself furnished us with a map of the place with helpful guidelines. The guest house provides pick ups. And we must mention the driver Rohan, who is an amazing guide. Housekeeping is available whenever asked for. The number of staff is few since it is a guest house. No room service was available. We wish there was.

Goa is a costly place except for petrol and liquor. Veronica is a budget guest house, but we loved the location(2/3 minutes walk from the beach & 15 minutes walk from main calangute beach), ambiance and their restaurant. Though their restaurant is costly.......well, rather say costlier. We had tried food at at least 20 other places in Goa. But Veronica restaurant, we felt, served the best fish and Goan delicacies possible. Squid, shark, king fish, prawn, pomfret, shellfish, kite fish - you name it and they have it....just the way you want it, fresh and steaming. Sammy, the restaurant owner and Aggie the service man were extremely innovative and caring. There are a few moderate-budget good vegetarian restaurants as well as a non-veg dhaba at the main Calangute beach.

One thing we suffered for was the morning tea. Veronica restaurant serves you only after 8:30 a.m. Be it coffee or tea, it's costly and not available here and there. So it's better you carry your own tea-maker. As liquor is really cheap in the off-shops all around Goa, grab it and have it. Don't waste money drinking liquor at restaurants. Goa is a small place and a good one to venture on bike. So, instead of going on a conducted tour, next time we would only take a bike. Thanks to the peaceful at-home feel Veronica gave us we had a great stay. We suggest you too take a front side first floor room and enjoy the tranquility. Don't forget to try shark fry with a good whiskey sitting in their lavish balcony. So cheers............ :-)

My boyfriend and me just wanted a holiday alone-together. The guest house looks very warm and welcoming. The rooms looked and felt better than how it looked in the pictures. Quiet (very) nice rooms for a very very reasonable price.Everything was too comfortable and Felt like Home actually.

The services are quiet good, but the food is AMAZING! Must try the Jumbo Prawns. Its to die for. Melts in the mouth. :) The staff are amazingly friendly people. They went out of their ways to please us.

I wouldn't change a thing about the place. And is definitely stay at Veronica's the next time I go to Calangute, Goa.
