Hotel Review of Stream Valley Cottages
Comments: Good, but never the best.
Best Experience: Scenic view from my tree hut along with the cool breeze.
Worst Experience: The management claims to serve free food for kids under 7yrs. I was staying in the resort with my two year old baby and the only thing she has is milk. We asked for 10oz (2 servings) of milk and for that we were charged. Is that not funny when you claim food for kids under 7yrs is free. When you serve food, definitely water comes along with it in any resort. We were charged for distilled water served. I cannot imagine food being served with stream water as no tourist will risk to have ordinary water during trips.

We had a great experience at the Stream Valley truly relaxing.....food was good and so was the services. The stream running along the resort was very relaxing... The travel through the forest was a great experience. Blore->Mysore->Nanjangud-Gundalpet->Muthaga->Sultan Bathery->Vythiri-> Lakkidi... the resort is close to Vythiri resort. we missed the route as there are no proper directions on the road so watch out closely...

we did expect a lot from what we saw of in the website. We aere there for summer holidays 2007. still under renovation and expansion. may take a year to have some activities over there. nothing much we could do in the resort....

Well, This was a resort I settled into after much research (onsite) on the entire mountain. This Vythiri mountain is unlike any big hill station U would see, U can reach the top of the mountain by driving just 5kms, there are no laid roads, it a mud and stone trail which took quite a beating on my ford and it is pretty steep (now that would explain why you can reach the top in 5kms). Hotel Review of Stream Valley Cottages
The resort was just 1.5 km away from the calicut-bangalore highway which was easily accessable. We were a family of 4 and the cottages were really good for the cost that was offered for us. And then the food was excellent you can say. So the overall experience was very much satisfied. Wayand is one of the best places to be visted in Kerela....

Very Informal as there is no front office!! One person is Jack of all trades. Converts himself from cook to room service to man friday to masseur!! Ok place but can be definetely better...
