We booked Kolavara with an open mind expecting the traditional Malnad hospitality and we were not let down and were pampered with the best traditional malnad cuisines and treats. Both adults and kids were very happy with the homestay and i feel this is an excellent place to just put your feet up and relax.

Best Experience: The hosts had arranged for a trek to a small hill and this was a good experience for us as we got to interact with the other guests and trekked as one big team. The hosts were very cordial and always available in case of any requirement from the guests.

Worst Experience: Nothing.

Kolavara Heritage provided us a very good package along with themeals. food was awesome . the resort/hotel is located in a very nice place . rooms were clean. Wish to revisit the hotel again.

Totally pampered is the word i would like to use of our stay @ kolavaraheritage homestay for those three days was awesome! This place was suggested to us by my friend. I then checked the website, one is always a little uncertain with the photos in the website.The potos in thier web looked good & interesting, but the photos my friend had mailed looked great.Then the booking was done over the phone.I spoke to the young lady Ms.Vathsalya(the host),very sweet,friendly&helpful. She gave us a very precise route map though they have one on their website. She even told us were the mobile network would desert us. This place is so quite,totally out of urbanization.Thank god we felt so blessed. Something i need to mention the mobile net work is limited. You get bsnl & airtel, only if there is an emergency the host will let you use their land line.The food is served in the common dinning area. The food they serve is a wide spread buffet with veg $ non-veg, the entier group feasted on it. I must mention, i have tasted the malnad cusine before. It tasted best here. Thanks to Ms.Vathsalya and aunty for the delicious food. They have a whole lot of activites to keep you busy the whole day and the best part of visiting Kolavara Homestay during monsoon is they have a beautiful waterfall in their property which is hardly a two minute walk from the rooms. Thanks from the whole team for the wonderful time guys n we would definitely like to visit Kolavara again.

Best Experience: The whole stay as a whole, especially the time spent at the waterfall which is very safe

Worst Experience: Can’t think of one right now but will visit again shortly and try n find one
