We experience very good hospitality here from the hotel staff and management. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay here. the facilities are quiet good and the service very efficient.

My experience at Jade was excellent. The place well take you to olden days with modern amenities.

Best Experience: It made me feel at home. Kabir made our trip a memorable one.

Worst Experience: The main road was an issue, hope the government had tarred it now.

We visited The Jade (a homestay located in Kutta, South Coorg) in August 2011. This homestay has 5 rooms - and since we were a large group, we had booked all 5 rooms. We had a wonderful experience staying at this homestay and the memories of this trip will remain etched in our minds for a long time. Kabir and Megha who run this homestay are friendly and ever ready to guide the visitors on places to visit near the homestay. The rooms are comfortable and the view around the homestay is breathtaking. What is a vacation without good food ??!! This place serves simple but delicious home food (breakfast and dinner). They make their own jams, butter, etc and we were able to taste Coorgi delicacies like paputtu with chicken curry. Since this place is very close to the Kerala border - those interesed in visiting the Wayanad sanctuary can do so. This place is also close to the Nagarhole National Park.

Best Experience: Irruppu falls is very close to The Jade and is a must see waterfall ! Most of us who visit Coorg always visit Abbey falls - but I feel that Irruppu falls in South Coorg is so much more beautiful than Abbey falls. We walked to this fall while it was raining - and we were amazed to see the breathtaking natural beauty surrounding us ! This is a wonderful place for large families or a large group of friends to take a break. This place is also suited for those travelling with very young kids. We had young kids in our group (including a 8 month old baby) and the kids were very comfortable at this place. There is quite a bit of space for the kids to run around. There is also a small children's play area and a carroms room where slightly older kids will be kept busy ! There is a stream very close to the resort - which people of every age group will enjoy.

Worst Experience: Can't think of any worst experience - we have only pleasant memories of our stay at The Jade.

a nice destination though not a very good hotel to stay. Though it says this is one of the top hotels here, somehow we found the service inefficient. Maybe a one off occasion.

This was our first experience in a homestay so were a little skeptical as to what to expect. However as soon as we reached Jade, it was love at first sight... The location is excellent, surrounded by greenery and nestled within the Brahmagiri hills. The rooms are clean and well maintained. This place has a charm of its own. Kabir and Megha are great hosts who always made us feel at home. There are lot of places to see around and Kabir was a great help with the roadmaps to these places. In fact we kept calling him for directions once we were out site seeing and he was happy to help us. Aunty ( Kabirs mom) cooks wonderful food and we got a good taste of the coorg cuisine. All in all, it was a wonderful trip and if we were to go there again, we would not think of any other place than Jade.

Worst Experience: Thought of leaving the place...
