We had been here for 3 days in August 2009. The place is good. Host Dinesh & his assistants were very polite. Food was mouth watering. The estate is wel maintained.

Best Experience: Food & service of the host.

Worst Experience: Not as such

I went there with my family on the weekend of 29th to 321st May 09.The experience was overall good. The location of the homestay is its USP along with the amiable nature of the people servicing there.Aroud 4 kms from madikeri city this estate is set in such natural surroundings that would stop you from going back to the city life again. Though there is not much to do in the estate once the sun sets as it is pitch dark, you can utilize the evenings by visiting the closeby city market.

Best Experience: The amicable nature of the manager of the place ,Dinesh and the cook cum waitor Keshav is what will make you visit the place again. They dont serve you for the heck of doing it but make you feel like a respected guest. One exciting thing is the path to reach your room. We had put up in the New House cottage constructed there where your own vehicle cant reach.You have to park your vehicles at the entrance of the estate and then go further by their Mahindra Utiliti Jeep. If you wish you can stand at the jeep\'s open area and have an excitinf 1 min bumpy exciting ride to the house !

Could not stay more than a night as there was no hot water plus no electricity backup. This is not to take away anything from the service given and the VFM meals . If you are a college student or do not mind rough it would make an excellent choice

Worst Experience: Mosquitoes in the night with no fan!

The overall experience was really good. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Friendly hosts and staff. You really feel at home. Food was really good, home made, safe and very reasonable. My little one really enjoyed roaming around the whole place.

Worst Experience: No worse experience. Just a suggestion - since the estate bungalow is a little old it can be maintained a little better.

it is really a nice place for piece. its name is shanti estate. and it is true its name. really a wonderful place.
