Heevan Resort Reviews

We had been there with 9 other couples in last december. Being in a group we had to wait for more than half an hour to get itto our room as rooms were not ready. Interior is good for few of the rooms but rest rooms are small. Irony is we were offered diff rooms for the same price and we had no option but to stay there as it was already 12 30 in night. We entered our room only to find out room heater was not working!! TV in our room was not functional and to our surprise bed heater was also not working. Upon compalining, they could not do much about the room heater. For the bed heater they had to change the heating blanket. TV problem also could not be solved, they could only change it next morning. Luckily, bathroom services were good with hot water 24*7. Food was not that gr8 but eatable. But really negative rating to this hotel for poor room service and staff management

It was just average so far as the front desk reception is concerned. The person at the reception lacked decency and courtesy that a tourist especially with the family expect while on tour.

Best Experience: Food served for dinner was good and service was very good. The same applies to next day breakfast. Courtesy was extended while serving the food.

Worst Experience: Worst experience was with the front desk manager by name Suhel whose behavior was poor and we had leave the hotel with this nostalgic experience. The hotel management has no courtesy to respond to my written complaint we made in the hotel complaint book while leaving.

first of all i wd like to clarify that t resort heevan.. im rating is of gulmarg not srinagar! its not in HIQ list of hotels of gulmarg n still not included even my request for t same! anyways, its wonderfully situated at a height near gondala rides, giving a very subtle view of the valley in an amazing way! when v went there in dec last, it was all snow covered, white all around with large green trees inbetween giving it a sceneric beatiful look!! its a totally centrally heated resort, well carved with wood, gr8 ambience n very warm n frdly staff! v hd to walk for almost 1 km in snow to get in t resort since vehicles were not able to reach there, but it was an expirience never too forget in life.

Best Experience: best eg was t services they provided! v need not to bother abt our luggage when v reached there.. v just walked in for 1 kms enjoying t snow n t staff took care of our things n got them into t resort!

Worst Experience: worst example... im sorry to say it was ME only! actually when v settled in t resort there was no water.. so on asking for it, were informed that there was some prob with t supply n its all over gulmarg.. even then i lost my cool n played tantrums! later i realised that in such cold where its snow all over, its very difficult to arrange things, i said sorry to t staff who were very cooperative in all t senses!

The place is heaven...and i will love to visit the place again... i work for a travel agency and have experienced the stay and the ambience of Srinagar and the surrounding... its amazing and i wish the tourism develops even better and best.
