We had been to Wayanad during the Ramadan holidays, ie 10th-12th September 2010. Of all the resorts we enquired, Agraharam was the only one which could offer us rooms for that weekend.We were a bit skeptical of the location, as it is away from the main tourist spots in Wayanad. But we reserved it, as we wanted to try something different from the ordinary. And I have to say that it was worth taking the decision to stay there, as the surprise that awaited us there was beyond words! The cottages are set in the backdrops of beautiful mountains, and surrounded by nothing else other than greenery (Dark green woods!)The only sound is that of the crickets and the birds. The bountiful nature takes away all your travel fatigue and refreshes you as soon as you set your foot there! The cottages have a very rustic style and the rooms were extremely clean and cosy. (Keep a watch on the name of the cottages, the selection is one of a kind!)The hospitality and service had been excellent. The food is cooked as per your order, and you get what you want. We had stuck on to the native Kerala cuisine and it was nice and tasty. The price though had been a little on the higher end. We had also been to other resorts in Wayanad earlier and I need to say that Agraharam is quite unique. Especially its location, the hospitality...everything stands apart and have a class of its own. Also because of its proximity to the Tirunelli Temple, it is also an ideal place for anyone who wants to visit this holy place. To sum it up, if you want to relax, be with the nature and be in a secure comfortable place, Agraharam is the one to be in!!!

Agraharam resort is easily one of the best place i have been. The breath taking mountain view which greeted me when i entered the place held me spell bound for quite sometime. Very friendly and hospitable people made us so comfortable and content. The tradtional Kerala food they served was awesome make u sort of look forward to the next meal-time :) Wild beauty, sceanic view, lovely people, mouth-watering food, attractive cottages, hospiatable staffs and nice memories are what agraharam is all about, what else one wants?!

Agraharam Cottages is a beautiful resort located in the hills of Northern Wayanad. Tholpetty forest, in which it is located is breathtakingly scenic and beautiful. The staff and service were great and prompt. We were taken great care of while we stayed there. Mr. Sebastian Joseph, the owner, is the editor of the Malayalam Manorama. He is a very nice, down to earth, polite and honest person.

Best Experience: The greatest thing about the resort is its surroundings; it is every bit the picturesque Kerala we see in the advertisements. Right within the Tholpetty forest near the Karnataka border, the place served as the perfect getaway for me and my family (Mother, father, sister). The food was also very good.

Worst Experience: The location itself is right in the northern tip of Wayanad district, slightly away from the main attractions of Wayanad. We found that we had to do a little more driving than expected to get around Wayanad. Otherwise, no complaints!

Its the best cottage i have ever stayed in my life...very friendly staff. The manager Mr.Paul is very helpful in guiding for the sightseeing. Also, Mr.Sebastian, the owner of the resort is very down to earth man who is chief of editor of malayalam manorama.

Best Experience: The food was awesome and was custommade as per the guest choice...the housekeeping staff concentrated on cleanliness.. The resort in located on the begur forest completely surrounded by mountains..lovely place

Worst Experience: None..it was fully best experience
