Savoy Hotel Reviews

We stayed in Savoy from 16th to 18th June 2012 with our 16 months old daughter. The location, ambiance , service all were up to the mark. The 'TAJ' touch of professionalism was seen in every aspect. The resort takes you to British era combined with modern amneties. Ooty was so crowded and we didn't feel like going out much. But it was worth spending the time in the resort.

Best Experience: First thing that comes into my mind is the staff and the service. The staff was willing to do anything possible to make my daughter comfortable , from providing baby cots , high chairs in the restaurant, sterilizing the bottles and bowls, proving us with hot water. They even asked whether to prepare any custom baby food for her. I really liked it and it made our stay very comfortable. Next best thing will be the beautiful lawns . It was a wonderful experience to have the morning coffee in this well maintained lawn..

Worst Experience: No bad experience from the resort at all...

OOTY as hill station experience was made divine because of the beautiful Taj Savoy with its lush green gardens filled with flowers .It was EDEN .The old world charm of the British era sprung on to me the moment I entered the charming, cosy cottage with its own fireplace only Rajesh khana’s song was missing in the background to complete the romance. Having our morning cup of coffee at the coffee table right in front of the cottage in the midst of nature was like heaven. After a tour of Ooty, coming back to nestle in the calm and peaceful cottage into the warm blankets was an ultimate holiday.

Best Experience: My hubby planed a surprise b’day party for me, all with the help of the hotel’s staff it was all set, a candlelit dinner with the menu of my choice a special cake was baked for me! The staff went out of their way to make it a memorable moment. I wish I could remember their names.

Worst Experience: At the front office, during checking, one of the staff commented rudely in Tamil assuming we didn’t know the local language. That was a NO NO in taj hospitality.

This is a wonderful hotel to stay, nice gardens are surrounded by the hotel. room was was big & comfortable . Good place for family & kids to stay . Room was having all the facilities required like hot & cold water were running through out the day. view of the garden from the room was very nice

OOTY!! One of my favourite hill station in tamil nadu and then coonor. This is one the best hotel i found there. Overall stay was explicable. You take a first look at this hotel you will surely be attracted. Rooms are excellent and level of service is extra-ordinary i would say. Food was superb and we had horse riding and few more...

Best Experience: Quality of rooms and service provided made us feel homely. great!! Keep it up guys.

I am a nature lover,unlike other hotels,savoy has lot of open air surroundings,lawns,trees etc..Hence when ever I visit ooty ,I go to Savoy for at least a cup of tea to enjoy the surroundings.

Best Experience: Had very excellent bone fire night.
