We travelled just at the beginning of winter and hence the weather was perfect in Agra. I made the booking by emailing the hotel directly. I was thrilled by the prompt response given by the reservation desk to all my queries over email. They were more than happy to throw in some complementaries and discounts while confirming the booking. The hotel is located about 1.5 kms from the Taj Mahal and hence is an ideal location for travellers visiting Agra. The ambience and locale of the hotel was fantastic. The interiors are done up very well in traditional Mughal style with rooms and banquet halls bearing the names of Mughal kings. The staff was very friendly and courteous throughout. The food is slightly expensive.. Rs. 500/- for lunch and Rs. 400/- for dinner. However, the spread is good. The rooms are very spacious, clean and set up very well. Our 9 months old daughter enjoyed jumping on the bed a lot since it was very cushy. Overall, its a fantastic place to stay in Agra and gives you a good taste of Agra\'s culture. Plan to stay for atleast 2 nights and you will never regret your decision.

Best Experience: Almost all our experiences have been very good, right from the front desk to the service staff. One of the interesting things that I noted was the service mentality of the hotel. Normally, most hotels give you towels once a day when the house keeping does the regular cleaning of rooms. However, this hotel was a little more proactive. Knowing well that guests, who go sight seeing through the day and return tired in the evening, would want to take a bath in the evening, the service staff comes over to each room in the evening and asks us if we need any extra towels. I found this very impressive since that shows the level of understanding of customer\'s needs.

Worst Experience: None at all.

Needs renovation to maintain 5 star status as it is the Oldest 5 star hotel in agra. rooms not to the mark as compared to 5 star status. else good.
