We were at Nature Notes Resort Manali, 3 days before Christmas and the price we paid was quite steep (Rs. 3000 per night). The cottages are reeeeeaaaalllly small, though they look nice in picture and from outside. The cottage and the room is really basic, though the view is amazing. The service is decent, though in absence of phones, going out to ask for tea at -4 degree temperature can bog u down early in the morning.

Best Experience: Walks in the nature around the little resort next to the Beas river (which is a common sight across the stretch of Kullu-Manali). Impromptu Trek on a hill overlooking the resort with one of the staff was very good. Barbecue next to the river was fun.

Worst Experience: There were so many, don\'t know where to start from! 1. There was a tiny rat in our room, the whole night - and we had a nightmare of a time! 2. There is no central water heating despite the steep charge - water will just not get warm, and if it gets warm, there won\'t be any cold water to make it something in which one can bathe. 3. The food is limited and average, again, not something you expect in this price! 4. The cottage room is extremely small and the loo and the room very basic. 5. The restaurant hall is way too far from the cottage, and has no heating, not proper seating arrangement. 6. Our driver was made to sleep in a tent, and in chilling winter, it was too much for him! Overall, one should not have to pay anything more than Rs. 1500 including food in this place - solely for the pristine natural beauty, and service.
