Hotel is in located surrounding the nice sight seeing spots.Hospitality is awesome, the pricing is reasonable. Room was quite big, fresh air was coming , there was no need of using the fan or ac. Food was good,there were good varieties to taste

About WelcomHeritage Windamere Hotel

Established in the 19th century as a boarding house for bachelor English and Scottish tea planters, the building was converted into a hotel just before the outbreak of the Second World War. The Hotel is situated on Observatory Hill, a Darjeeling landmark, believed to be the focus and repository of life-enhancing cosmic energies. Windamere Hotel has two wings- the Windamere (for those who like tradition � no TV, & telephone only on request) and Little Windamere (for those who need to remain in touch with modern life � TV & telephone provided).

Rooms & Amenities

Accommodation types: standard rooms, Superior rooms, Heritage Suites, and Cottages. Amenities: travel desk, internet, laundry, money changer, 24 hour coffee shop, restaurant, liquor license, television (only in Little Windamere wing), doctor on call, credit card acceptability, room service
