Wellesley Hotel Reviews (11)
I had a very bad experience here. The hotel looks quite good from outside. But when you step in you will realise that the policy of the hotel are still like the lodge. No fixed rates for the room. They will say whatever comes in their mind. The food is worst, uncleaned plates. Worst are the bathrooms of the rooms, so small that a healthy person can't bathe properly. People should not have a hotel if they really don't know how to manage a hotel. I changed my hotel same day. Although I lost 1700 but I was happy that I left that hotel..!!
Service is excellent and the location is also good. It is one of the best hotel. If next time I will come I will come with my family too. And from the location of hotel we can go anywhere for roaming and visit some of the historical places and the management of the hotel is also very good.
Overall, experience in the hotel was good. I stayed in this hotel for 18 days. Hotel was located near Goal Talab, Park Street. I had no problem to find the hotel. Location of the hotel was easy. Inside and outside view of the hotel was good looking. Hotel ambience was hygienic. I made on spot booking for this hotel. Booking and front office service were cooperative. There was no delay in check-in and check-out procedure. Services were on time and quickly. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was neat, clean, spacious and well maintained. AC, TV, and fridge etc were available in the room but no coffee maker was there. Room carpet was very graceful. Veg and non-veg both foods were available. Food was average. Price of the food was reasonable. Hotel has no restaurant. They prepared food and served us in the room. Nothing was available in the activities there. Kolkata is nice place to visit. I visited Kolkata in August 2011 alone. I can recommend this hotel for travelers.

Staff is helpful and friendly. Overall services are good. Kolkata is a good place to visit. Kalighat is attractive. Hotel is situated near shopping mall and restaurants. Its a hotel with good facilities. Room service was also good. Rooms are equipped with all the facilities. The hotel is nearer to the market. The rate of accommodation was also not so costly.
It’s a hotel with good facilities. Room service was also good. Rooms are equipped with all the facilities. The hotel is closer to the market. The rate of accommodation was also not so costly. It is a hotel with best facilities in local area. The rooms have a speciality - in the hotel there is lots of wood work, which is done in the rooms on doors & windows.
This hotel was average/normal. In comparison to Hotel Jaipur palace, Wellesley Hotel, Kolkata is not comparable . Restaurant was not good condition and attendant was also not obedient. Hotel location was very dirty.Bath room of this hotel was not neat clean condition.Hot water also not supplied in time.Over all there was not good.
