About Wild Grass Lodge
Located just outside the Kaziranga National Park, the lodge is set in 40 acres and uses traditional rural Assamese architecture. The resort has thatched roofs, large windows, verandas, a pond, and the Dirring River flowing through it. There is also a wooden macchan that overlooks the swimming pool. The 'Rang Ghar’ at the resort is a large hall that is built using traditional Ahom architecture where Assamese cultural programmes are organized for guests; it also doubles up as a conference hall. The 430 sq km Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO world heritage site, home to the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses. Activities at the resort include guided jeep safaris, elephant rides, trekking, visits to tribal villages and Tea gardens. The best time to visit is Nov- Apr.
