We were here for 2 nights. Beautifully located, close to a deserted beach. Rooms are clean, there is a seating area outside your room, where you can just sit and relax, stretch your legs and calm yourself.

At first look you might just think in what shabby place have you entered, but once you get comfortable it's just lovely.

Food in the hotel restaurant is just too good. However, if you famished start early, as it does take time to serve yummy food.

TIP: Incase you scared of lizards, tell the front office to check the rooms in advance.

All in all a nice place to stay.

As part of our vacation to the Andaman, we stayed in Havelock for 2. 5 days and our stay was booked in the Wild Orchid. We weren't happy with our accommodation in Port Blair and hence we were of a similar expectation when we reached Havelock. But to our surprise, we were overwhelmed by The Wild Orchid. The hotel was a beach resort with the beach right at the back of the resort, the rooms were of the cottage type. The cottage was very spacious, great ambience, made entirely of wood. The room was very clean, bathrooms were clean and overall, a comfortable place to stay. There is a catch for the room service. There are no phones in the cottages and hence for room service you need to walk up to the restaurant or the front office.

Ordered the food and drink, but that does not actually matter much. The food was just great. Morning breakfast was a mix of English, North and South Indian buffet. They have a wide range of cuisines from North Indian, Chinese to Italian. They have an attached bar and at the time we visited, there was an happy hours offer with 20% discount on drinks but the only thing we missed here is there were no snacks available during this time and that put us off. But not even a tiny bit of regret at all because we enjoyed our stay here pretty much. There is a beach right at the back of the resort and most of the times, it isn't crowded. Lot of foreigners in the hotel and we could see they were enjoying their time too staying here. On the last day, we just hired a two-wheeler on rent available just right in front of the resort and we just explored the island by ourselves. Overall, great place and I pretty much recommend this hotel to everyone.

Really wild in looks, which is good looking. Hotel staff are good. Food is also good. Easy access for beach. Easy access for bike rentals. Ambience of the hotel is good. Check out time is little early, 9:00am, it seems all the hotels in Havelock are with same timings. Another good part is, they are offering free pickup and drop for checkin and check-out. Excellent

The location is good, just beside the Dolphin resort at Vijaynagar beach. Rooms are basic, quite overpriced as compared to their standards. The place lacks good cellular network coverage and hence you need to move out of the campus to use our mobile. Staff are cordial, reception is located away from the rooms so it can be troublesome at times. The only thing worth mentioning is the food. The breakfast spread is pretty decent, the dinner menu is superb too.

Tips: Try to sit at the candle lit tables outside while having dinner, you will certainly feel great. Mosquitoes can be annoying though.

We had been to Havelock islands for a vacation and the surroundings were rustic and enjoyable. The resort overlooks the sea from the restaurant and it's a lovely experience to dine in the evening setting. Overall the service was good but a very limited choice of food for vegetarians. You also don't get any drink other than KF beer.

The hotel rooms are very beautiful and you can experience the beach in the night as the hotel is located on Vijay Nagar beach.

Rooms are clean and all the sight seeing locations are nearby from the hotel.

Restaurant in the hotel is very nice it is always packed with tourists as it is one of the best places to eat in Havelock.

This hotel is located just nearby to Vijaynagar beach. Me and my wife stayed there for 2 nights, it was an awesome experience, Hotel is clean, We have not encountered with any problem during our stay, Manager is very helpful, they arranged the return ferry ticket for me. Staff is courteous. Restaurant service is amazing, Must try Fish tikka at the restaurant. If you are thinking that electricity would be a problem then I tell you that no. Weather is very pleasant in Havelock.

Back of this resort is beach number 5, which is awesome during early morning and during night. The location is excellent, rooms are tidy and very well-maintained. Vegetarian food is exceptionally good. But it is costly and what made me say this is a cup of buttermilk costs you 150 INR. If you are a vegetarian then this is the place for you to eat. The ambiance is welcoming. Dinner at this resort makes you feel like that you are actually having a candle light dinner such is the ambiance. Try going to the beach to watch the moon rise it is definitely worth it.

From ferry at port blair port or phoenix bay jetty we reached Havelock island in 3hrs time at 10am. We were complete surprised by the natural appearance and the greenery of the hotel. Everything in the hotel have a vintage classy look in it. From wooden flooring rooms to restaurant with natural sloping roofs made bamboo, beds were really amazing, made of a different natural structure from wood. Rooms have nice lamps and zero watt bulbs matching with the colour of walls and floors to give perfect calmness and relaxing environment at night. Wash rooms were clean and very well maintained with beautifully furnished walls and floors.

Hotel have in house bar(emerald gecko), restaurant(red snappers) and specially the beautiful coffee shop with snacks know as clownish cafe were really memorable indeed to spend time with your loved ones and family. Entire hotel have a peaceful environment with ambience of love in it. Hotel is also perfectly located in walking distance from vijaynagar beach, another beach know as kala pathar beach was about 2km from the hotel. Don't misS the Mount Harriet and elephant beach in this island.
