The Willow Hill, Ooty
58 / 1,Havelock Road,Ooty
We booked for Garden room for two days. As promised in pictures the room was more beautiful than it appeared and the private garden attached with the room was like icing on the cake. We had a very comfortable stay in the hotel. Location was excellent, away from main market area, very peaceful and calm. We had little trouble with hot water first day but it was manageable. The only drawback of hotel was restaurant service. The food was good but the service was not up to mark, Day 1 we waited for almost an hour for breakfast, even the complimentary breakfast was limited -either take continental (bread toast omelet) or Indian ( idli dosa) breakfast. Day 2 we informed half an hour back for breakfast so we got our breakfast on time. I would definitely recommend this hotel to couples or groups who want calm and peaceful stay with excellent amenities. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. My suggestion to hotel is that they can include -bonfire in their service, location weather and bonfire will be dazzling combo. To the staff- Keep up the good work. Cheers!
We visited Ooty it was a holiday trip. We went there along with my family in the month of May 2017. We booked the rooms by calling them. The location is very convenient as there are transport vehicles nearby to pick up and drop. We came to the location by taxi. We had hired a taxi. There were no issues in reaching the hotel. There was pick-up and drop facility and it was paid service. The distance between hotel and bus station is about 3 and a half km. There was no sightseeing places and markets nearby hotel. The appearance was pleasant. The hotel building was very old but they had maintained it very well. The Front office was courteous. They made arrangements so that our stay in the hotel is comfortable. The service is excellent they responded to us quickly for whatever requests we had. We booked two rooms one was superior and another was a luxury. There was a restaurant inside the hotel. We ordered both north and south Indian food. We took room service. We ordered certain dishes. All dishes were good except for one like paneer tikka. It was hard and we were not able to eat. We informed the staff and they told us that it will be resolved. We had food inside the hotel only it was hygienic. We will recommend this restaurant to other travelers also. There were amenities like kids playing area. I suggest other travelers to reach hotel early because it is tough to reach at night time as autos are available but they charge very high. I will suggest the hotelier to take notice of food department and correct it.
We traveled to the Ooty in the month of May 2017. That was a family holiday trip. I booked my stay by direct booking. The hotel was good but the food quality was not good. I booked two deluxe rooms but in that one is deluxe but other was not a deluxe room. They were arranging a cab for sightseeing but that was very costly. I inquired outside They were providing 1500-1800 but the hotel people took 2300 from me. The food was hygienic and clean but the taste of the food was not good. The service was good. The way they were handling the situations very carefully. The quality of the rooms was very good that is why I always stay here. The view from the window of the room was very good. The interior of the room was attractive. Everything was a little bit away from the hotel but that was very silent and peaceful place. The hotel was appearing homely. The Ooty is the best place to visit and enjoy the holidays. The travelers should stay there 3-4 days and enjoy the natural beauty. The reception area was dark to appear so they should increase light. That was appearing old so they should improve it. The staff was very cooperative. The customer will not find the type of room so the photographs of the rooms with a name should be displayed at the reception. They had given us a standard room and charged for the deluxe room. There was a garden but We can't enter in the garden. They should provide the activities for the customer to enjoy. They had provided complimentary breakfast. We used room and restaurant service for the food.
We visited Ooty it was a family trip. We went there in the month of May 2017. We booked the room online. We came by own vehicle. There was parking facility and it had free service. There is no lift facility. The location is well placed it was calm and has good scenery around the location. There are no markets nearby. The railway station is about 2 km far from the hotel. I will definitely suggest this hotel to other travelers as well. The appearance was beautiful it had good interiors. The appearance had a retro kind of look. If they improve on interiors even more. The appearance will be even finer. The Front office was courteous. They spoke to us well. The service responded quickly they were caring. They called us and asked us proactively whether we need any thing. We had booked a superior room the interiors were good. They maintained it well the rooms were spacious. The washrooms were clean and hygienic. The rooms had a wooden floor. The food was tasty and delicious. However the price was a bit costly. We ordered Continental and Indian dishes. We had mutton biryani and it was good. As it is a 3-star hotel the price is a bit high for middle-class people. There were no special activities. We will not suggest anything in this hotel. It is good as the way it is now. The hotel looks good and it has a very old look. We will definitely suggest this hotel for other travelers if they are looking for any honeymoon trip.
I had visited this hotel for personal trip with my fiance and friends. Transportation facility was nearby the hotel. The service was good. Everything was excellent in this hotel. The behaviour of the staff was friendly. I didn't use activity in this hotel. The food quality was awesome. I had booked the room by online. I had faced problem in check-in process. The interior part was good. The hot water facility was not propped in the room. The destination of the hotel was good. I would suggest this hotel to renovate the exterior part.
