Wow....this resort was complete getaway from the stress the corporate life.... the ayurveda treatment there was a great stress buster.... getting up in the morning to the heavy chirping of birds is music closest to nature... the resort itself is completely in harmony with nature with canal water flowing right in front of your room.... had a great time with the pottery guy sitting next to the reception....the service absolutely great... the restaurant guys even setup a candlelight dinner for us.....definitely a must try for the people who want to getaway from it all.....

resort is well maintained..but hopeless service & food... activites not at taken care off..did not have good experience.. the resort was empty...food was not up to the mark.,... overall experience was bad..houseboat provided by them was gr888 with good food...

Awesome is the word I will use for my experience there. We came to know about it while searching net and being a net freak, I booked it online easily by coordinating with resort staff. The resort is such a beautiful place, every inch you will find close to nature and well maintained and clean. All the cottages on the banks of canals which gives a lively experience and then the greenry...ooo wow...the furniture in lawn was so nicely built away from city\'s pomp and show....

Best Experience: The staff and facilities tried to ensure that the guests there should enjoy every second of their stay. We were on our honeymoon and sincerely enjoyed alot. It had all facilities like smimming pool, gaming facilities, satellite TV, complimentary boat ride which we sailed ourself through the canals of the resort. The sunset that we viewed during the sunset cruise was a kind of experience...we had kerala special massage...

Worst Experience: The only bitter part that we had to experience was we went at the resort at 11p.m. and the roads to resort were narrow, dark and horrifying for a stranger. We thanked God that we had hired a cab from resort to take us from airport. The second thing that there were no good places to see outside of resort except backwaters. So the beauty of the resort and sunset area covered all.

This was my first trip to Kerela - \'Gods own country\' and I finally got to see why the same is apt. The backwaters of Kumarakom offered a natural beauty the simply impossible to fathom. The lush green of the paddy fields and coconut groves combined with lazy meandering backwaters gave me a surreal escape from the bustle and stress life in a corporate dictates.

Best Experience: Overall, my stay at Golden Waters was a brilliant holiday. From fishing straight off the cottage\'s balcony, to the exceptional attentiveness the staff offered, the resort provided great value for money. Highlights: - A cruise on the backwaters. - All cottages were on stilts and surrounded by water. - A cycle ride into the village - (proved to be rather difficult, to say the least!). - Great ambience. - Good food (overall). - Oh and yes, an excellent massage. - Reasonably priced.

Worst Experience: None actually, except for the Chinese cuisine. The chef should stick to what he does best. Indian.

Been there for honeymoon in November 2004 and it was a pleasant/wonderful experience. the staff is well behaved as well trained. Food is good. The rooms are a lovely experience with small channels flowing underneath or outside and ducks playing there. Really worth giving a try. Everything is perfect, just the budget is at a little high.
