Hotel Review of Shevaroys Hotel
Comments: Though this is a well known hotel, the service was pathetic. The rooms were spacious and looked good though they are not all that well maintained, with cleanliness not being a part of priority. A better choice would be The Grand Palace or The Roca for the same price.
Best Experience: The food was good.
Worst Experience: We asked housekeeping to clean our room at about 10:15 in the morning and when we returned at 02:30 in the afternoon the room was still not clean. Inspite of calling three times after that it remained unclean for about an hour after which housekeeping came in. The floor rugs, the bathroom rugs, etc were not changed even though we requested that all be changed since housekeeping keep walking in with footwear. The used cutlinary of our room was kept out of the room all night with no one picking it until late morning. By then it looked like the dogs had licked on all the remains of the previous night's food.

The Yercaud is the good place to visit at the week end. Lush Green hills, cool waves. Beautiful lake and surrondigs. Best place to visit in Yercaud is Shevaroys Temple and Pagoda Point. Don't stay in Hotel Shevaroys if you have enough budget to stay. You could have better choice in the same package at Hotal Grand or Sterling. Shevaroys don't worth the tariff they are charging. For low budget or economy class, you can stay in Star holiday, silver...

To start with, we had booked a normal room (forgot the name...they are named on flowers)...but it was not that appealing (for me) so i asked for a change of room and they said that the orchid suite was available...i readily took it coz even that dint cost much...anyways so we were immediately shifted to the suite...yes here the room was pretty neat looking and also when u come out of your room the view was lovely...worth the money paid...

Was a nice enough place. We had what they called an orchid Suite for Rs. 1025. It was quite large and decently decorated in a modern tone. Only there wasnt much of a view from the balcony. The food was quite good. Surprisingly even the continental cuisine was quite nice. Service was also good. Nothing to do in Yercaud tho and May is pretty hot for a hill station. The evenings are merely pleasant while the days are quite sunny...

Our family made a sudden trip to Yercaud and it was a weekend. We went to a few hotels and all were booked. We then thought we'll try this hotel and went in. To our suprise, we found rooms to suit our convenience. And lo, we checked in........it was cosy and comfortable. Ofcourse, the weather outside was so chill. It was a pleasant experience to order hot food from the room and have it. Good service given by all staff....

Reasonably good hotel which is well located. Lot of greenery around. But the problem is Yercaud itself is a small town with nothing much to see. Temperatures are slightly on the higher side for a hill station....
