well yercaud DID turn out to be the poor man's ooty!! yercaud i itself is a great place to go if one just wants to get away from the hustle bustle of daily life and unwind in idyllic surroundings. as such there are not many activities to do here but the place itself is very romantic making it a haven for (cheap) honeymooners. The experience of Yercaud was pleasant. The hotel is not one where you can expect any kind of recreational activites. The rooms alongwith the attached baths are very clean and well maintained. The cook was fabulous....
