IGI airport or Delhi Airport, 16 km from New Dlehi is one of the businest in South Asia. I happen to experience Terminal 1D enroute Kolkata to Srinagar twice. The lounge, security enclosures are all fantastic. One would find nearly everything - food stalls, shops, ATMs, phone kiosk...The food court at the first floor level in the security enclosure is awesome. KFC is there for non-veg connoisseurs. Security checks, are bit stringent though, and for valid reasons. Toliets are well maintained. One of the drawbacks, I feel, is the absence of any inner passage for transit passengers. The distance between arrival and departure terminal is reasonably long,specially with luggages. Wi-fi connectivity is good.

First thing that entered mind was, am i in an Indian airport !!! Mind blowing ! It was a very smooth drive for us right from India gate. We were there within half hour although we were thinking of may be 1-2 hrs. But that was good as it gave us much more time to explore the latest marvel in India. THE TERMINAL 3 !! Checking in was smooth. Within no time and you are into that majestic lounge with great ambiance. Lots of security check points. Everything was very well displayed and marked. The huge sculptures of elephants in brass adding to it ! Lots eateries are there to pick from. Toilets were very clean. Once you get in with your security checks, it becomes even more grand. Again lots of space, shops, eateries, very good seating arrangements and what not. Once you start towards the boarding point, more than 60 to count, travel ling times r mentioned at the entrance. One can walk, can use escalators, elderly and sick persons can take carts. Basically everything is available. Overall, it was a great experience. Cannot put everything into words, but yes, seeing is believing. AND ITS A GEM !!! Kudos INDIA . 3 CHEERS for T 3 !!

The new Terminal 3 at Delhi is indeed of International standard. This is the only airport that can be compared to Singapore and Dubai airport. Other airports in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai are goo

The new Terminal 3 at Delhi is indeed of International standard. This is the only airport that can be compared to Singapore and Dubai airport. Other airports in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai are good and huge but cannot be compared to Singapore and Dubai. T3 is huge with over 80 gates. The time taken from security checkin to the last gate (80+) would be around 30 min walk. There are travelltors like other international airports. Since this is a new airport, most of the shops have not opened. I think there is need to have more shops near the gates. Getting your check in luggage will also takes nearly 30 min. This is due to the huge size of the airport. Overall we should be proud of this international level airport.

For cheap transport use light rail(mrt) or bus service to delhi centre.Mrt cheap for travel around delhi. For good and cheap food take lift from waiting lounge(gate 8)To one floor down near domestic

It gives a good feel when we visit the airport, however lack of signs and guidance for a first visitor can lead to a wastage of time and efforts. Security Checks are good but need to be more stringent. All in all a good experience, being an Indian we are now used to the rush and queues, however the addition of new terminals is hopefully going to benefit one and all!

HORRIBLE DELHI
I am yet to come across such an unruly and undisciplined airport like Delhi. Time taken for immigration clearance is beyond imagination.

I went through Delhi airport last month. A few cosmetic changes were visible after the privatisation, especially outside the arrival terminal. But the underlying chaos seems unabated. overall, still a lousy experience. Hopefully, GMR will be able to turn this airport around.
