well not much to say about this navy airport witha civilian side.too small in all respects and definitely needs lot of upgradation which is not likely it seems.so new int airport coming up in north go

Small, overcrowded, slow hell
This airport is really small and over crowded. While flying out of the airport, there is a huge queue in front of the X Ray machine, in front of the check in counter and the longest queue is in front

This airport is really small and over crowded. While flying out of the airport, there is a huge queue in front of the X Ray machine, in front of the check in counter and the longest queue is in front of security checking. The security check in queue is slow and often people jump the queue on prodding from airlines. The security check in area is small and has only one or two snacks counter. In short this is one airport that seriously needs a major uplift keeping in mind the number of national and international travellers coming in. AAI is doing quite a shoddy job here and its time this is handed over to private players.

Crowded & chaotic

From about 3 flights a day a few years ago, Goa probably now handles over 40 flights a day. In the meantime, the infrastructure (if you can use such a grand term for what is provided by Airports Authority) has remained the same. So, the airport is best avoided. So, if you want to fly to Goa for a holiday, steel yourself for a bad experience at the airport.
