This four-storey wooden pagoda decorated with rich carvings. Outside the temple is decorated with horns of animals sacrificed to Hadimba Devi (which is considered an incarnation of the Goddess Kali).”

HolidayIQ Reviewer D Kundu shares, “Picturesque lake and must visit Tsomgo Lake is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim, 40 kilometres from Gangtok (12, 400 ft) 3753 mt. We were lucky that we found snow fall and excellent view of this lake. There was Yak ride you can enjoy it. It is on the way to Nathula Pass. You can plan that Baba Mandir and Nathula Pass together. Depends on weather condition and permit. To visit Nathula Pass you have to submit 2 copy of photo and ID xerox. Individual cab you may get 5000 (with permit of Nathula Pass). Share cab also found. You can get Govt register agent list from Tourist information centre (In the MG MArg). We were unable to go Nathula Pass. But we got great view of this lake half portion frozen. We visited Tsomgo Lake during. Our Sikkim tour in Dec 2014 with my wife.”

Boating is available for the tourists and it's the popular spot among the tourists. Chamera lake is around 35 km from Dalhousie. Small eateries are present and a lone cafe which was closed when we went. The water is clear and blue. Very relaxing place”
