HolidayIQ Traveller Abhi Singh from Kashipur shares, “Nice clean beaches one should go to povar also. Sand beach is just beyond the words. Motor boats are managed by some goons type of people so better get the deal fixed by the hotel or localities otherwise they will cheat you. One should visit all 5 beaches and motor boat experience in Kovalam was just amazing.”

HolidayIQ Traveller Minali Yadav from Surat shares, “After reaching to Alleppey, we haven't thought this place is going to be this beautiful. The clean wind and the sound of water will make your mind relax. This is the most romantic and beautiful place I have ever visited. Before visiting Venice, visit Alleppey. Trust me it can give tough competition to Venice. I dont know why Indian/Kerala government is not promoting this place.”

I am always excited to travel to this part of the world for many reasons, and few of them are: delicious finger-licking food - Kozhikode is known as the 'food capital of Kerala' and it doesn't disappoint, The malabar biryanis to the nadan fish curry to the arabic delicacies, you will just find everything here. Some of the must-visit food joints are Zamzam, Paragon (for its biryani) & food stalls around Calicut Beach Road."

HolidayIQ Traveller Aruna Suryanarayana from Mysore says, “This place is really very nice to visit during the whole year. The drive between Hunsur and Kutta is around 40 km. During monsoon and winter, you can see lush green jungle with elephants, peacocks and deer as common sightings. Have been on this route thrice and I was really lucky to have the big cat sighting, twice. Once, it was a just blind-and-miss sighting of a leopard another one of the tiger. My heartbeat went high when I saw the majestic animal crossing the road in the deep jungle just after the forest guest house near Morkel village in the middle of jungle.”

A block iron there is very heavy and cannot be lifted by anyone."

HolidayIQ Traveller Soumyajit Kundu from Kolkata says, “It's one of my favourite destinations in India. Though the weather is hot throughout the year, given its position near to the sea, but the place has a different charm with the beautiful French colonies, clean and well maintained roads, does not feel we are in India. Rishi Sri Aurobindo rightly preached in this place and many throng to visit the Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville. The total area is very small so you can plan your trip for maximum 3 days which includes Ashram, sightseeing and leisure as well. One of the other major attraction is trying out French Delicacy in French Town.”

During the festival of Onam, the banks of River Pampa come alive with beautiful snake boats, oarsmen and thousands of tourists who throng the small village of Aranmula to witness the Aranmula Boat Race. To reach the venue, tourists can reach Alleppey or Thiruvananthapuram and hire a taxi to reach Aranmula or board a train to Chengannur, 10 km from the village. Adds HolidayIQ Traveller Kence Georgey, "Do visit Kuttanadu too - one of those rare places in the world where farming is done below sea level (1.5 -2 meters below sea level).
