HolidayIQ Reviewer Jenifer Sayyed shares, “Hawa Mahal- It is situated near to City Palace and on the main market road, making it difficult to get a perfect click. Hawa Mahala glimpse makes you feel happy because of its pink colour and architecture. It has many windows from where all the royal women of families would see the festivals, occasions and daily life without being seen from outside. We clicked outside and went as suggested by many. 5) Jail Mahal- Located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. We had some snacks, photos and went. 6) Albert Hall Museum- This museum is the oldest museum of the state and situated in the heart of the city, near to famous local bazaars and railway station. As we were exhausted, we clicked pictures from outside and went. If you have a keen interest in museums, then do visit inside.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Rizwanuddin Rafiq shares, “Lake's surroundings and small Islands within the lakes were developed and many bathing ghats, palaces, marble temples, family mansions etc like Lake palace, Jag Mandir, Mohan Mandir, Arsi Vilas Island towards west whose lake shore serves as a bird sanctuary, are built on Islands and City palace is situated at Bansi Ghat. At several locations where the lake narrows, ornamental arch bridges have been built to span the waterway between the banks. For tourists and visitors a separate Boat Jetty offers the Lake's visit and for royals, Jetty is situated at Bansi Ghat. At the bank, it offers beautiful Sunset view and the backdrop of the lakes are quite scenic, though the royal structures within the lake and the township close to the lake shore creates a very sensational view at the time of Sunset.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Yassir Pitalwalla adds, “If you want the best views of Leh town and want to really understand why Leh's most famous king built his palace here you have to climb this palace. While the palace itself doesn't have anything much to offer by the way of interior architecture (it's under restoration), there is a small monastery and you get some sense of the multilevel structure. On the top where the King and Queens lived one gets the most spectacular view of Leh and the surrounding hills and valleys not to mention the polo ground. One tip, avoid climbing the palace by approach road from the Polo Ground and instead take a cab and ride it all the way to the palace entrance.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sajad J says, “We deliberated on going to Fatehpur multiple times as we just had a day and the to/from drive between Agra and Fatehpur itself would easily eat up 2 hrs. But if you have not got bored seeing historical monuments, if you have the interest to see how the royal queens used to live those days and if you have seen movies like Jodha Akbar then I am sure the place would be of interest to you and should not be missed. Better to have a guide. There are mainly 2 places to see - one is the kings and queens palaces and the other is religious and related to Salim Chisti because of whose blessings Akbar and Jodha were blessed with a child.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Kartik Lakhotia says, “Not a huge place but beautiful As the title suggests, it's not a very grand place. Mahatma Gandhi was kept here as a prisoner and they have created a museum at the palace centred around him. The 'samadhis' of Kasturba Gandhi and Mahadev Desai are also located at this palace only. The gardens are very plush and well-maintained. They are a significant part of the scenic beauty of the palace. You might not take a lot of time to finish sightseeing here but you can sure rest quite well in the gardens. There is a small canteen at the back where one can eat as well.” Read Full Review
