HolidayIQ Reviewer Ruta Muley adds, “Goddess Chamundeshwari, a fiercely destructive manifestation of the universal feminine energy, is worshipped as the custodian of Mysore and is also the tutelary deity of the Maharajas of Mysore: the Wodeyars. This mesmerizingly beautiful Sri Chamundeshwari Temple is situated as a glorious crown atop the crest of the towering Chamundi Hills some 13 kilometres from the charming city of Mysore. As one gently walks towards the main entrance of the Devi Chamundeshwari temple, one is greeted with the chants of the Mahishasura Mardini Stotram...The breathtaking aerial view of the city up the Chamundi Hill makes the visit worth.Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sunil Chaurasia says, “It was crowded as we were on weekend. After entering the main gate, there was a temple on the right and the majestic Mysore Palace (Amba Vilas) in front. The first thing that strikes you is the British and Indian architecture...You will be amazed by the gigantic painting on the ceiling of the hall. This hall had Kings Throne, Many Seats and in the front wall a huge open ground. This place was where the king and all the higher officials sat and had a talk. The King Army would assemble in the open ground area. The main attraction is if you are there on Sunday evening because then the Palace is lit with thousands and thousands of bulbs, unfortunately, I didn't have that view. At last, it is the best place in Mysore to visit and return to the everlasting memories.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Niraj Shah shares, “A rightful wonder of the world Because of the way the city is, the Taj Visit gets curtailed to a same-day return trip to Delhi (for us at least). I do wish that the city of Agra was a lot better. You could at best do a 1-night trip to include a visit to Fatehpur Sikri. But onto the wonder of the world - I never thought that I will like the Taj so much since all of us have seen it a number of times in the movies. But the actual sighting is absolutely stupendous. It's not possible to describe it in words - it is that good. My wife says though - that visiting it in the hot summer months takes the charm away - I went in the chills of January, so the weather was on our side. It is jaw-droppingly beautiful - a must visit if you can find the time. Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Santhosh Wilson shares, “A Serene Monument and also get a good view of the Sea Located right inside the Kanyakumari town and adjacent to the sea, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial provides calm surroundings to the traveller. The monuments are situated on the spot where the urn containing the Mahatma's ashes was kept for public viewing before immersion in the sea. Another wonderful speciality is the hole in the roof of the monument. It is constructed in such a way that the sun's rays fall inside, on the exact place inside the hall where his ashes were kept. Mahatma Gandhi's life is unveiled through the pictures exhibited in the hall. ” Read Full Review
