HolidayIQ Reviewer DEBASHISH PRADHAN says, “Awesome place for sunset view Located at the extreme end of the Candolim Beach, this is an excellent place to see the setting sun. Just next to it, stands the majestic Vivanta by Taj. Equally good for singles, young couples and families, the Fort provides a good view of the sea. You can find vendors selling food, tea and toys in the evening. The Food is decent and the pricing is also affordable. We went there for a late night walk too and were surprised to find quite a few people even at that time.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Prashanth Dsouza adds, “Best views of the Beach. The views to the south of the fort from the southern bastion give you an endless view of the coastline right up to Karwar. The beach is clean with a nice calm atmosphere. A walk to the beach is a memory worth cherishing. The beach has a very nice view of the sunset. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks below and the setting sun make this one of the most romantic evenings that you can have. It’s a 30-40 minute drive from Palolem and is a must visit attraction best just before sunset. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer kamal Krishnamurthy says, “Excellent Weekend Getaway We went for a 3 days trip to Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, Lakkavalli, which comes just after Tarikere town on the Bangalore - Honnavar Road. It's a protected area and a Project Tiger reserve, unlike other tiger reserves in Karnataka, it's least travelled place, which can be verified because Jungle's Lodge River Tern is the only resort in that area. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Deepika Ashwani says, “Picturesque Lake The lake is the second largest in Karnataka. It is located 4 km from the Chikmagalur-Kadur road. The lake looks mostly deserted with no commercial activities around. We visited the lake to enjoy the sunset. There were 2 other families who had come there at the same time. So, we did not feel that we were alone.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sreejesh Suresh says, “Awesome landscape and a 360-degree view from the top One needs to leave the vehicles and trek for few kilometers on foot to get here. But it's rewarding, the view from the top is breathtaking, you can see the entire mountain range from here and also spot some Tigers and Leopards on the way. Though the entire mountain is always cold and chilling this part is very sunny and hot during the day. So carry some water bottles with you and use them to make some noise near the thick plant growth, to avoid sudden surprise to wild animals who might be hiding there. We were there at the day night, even though the sunset from there would be awesome, it is recommended to return before sunset as the trekking route is dangerous and sometimes near the edge of the mountain.” Read Full Review
