Yelagiri is a perfect place for "a weekend outing from Bangalore this is a nice place. A journey of about 2 hours on a scenic highway. The place is lovely with beautiful curves on the road while going up about 14 km. With greenery all around on the hills, a lake with boating facility. A park for the children near the lake. There are few walking trails, a Shiva temple on one of the hills etc. We had a lovely weekend with beautiful weather and a wonderful drive from and to Bangalore.” says HolidayIQ reviewer Ashok Kumar Bahl.

Gokarna is a heaven for those in need for a quiet getaway and some spell-binding scenery.

HolidayIQ reviewer Abhinav summarizes the place well, "Closed in by rocky outcrops on two sides which make the beach accessible only on foot, Kudle beach lies some distance before Om Beach in Gokarna. The Western Ghats meet the sea at this spot, and this makes for a beautiful setting, especially at sunset. Cafes here open out to the sea and are right on the beach, and the beach itself is never too crowded. The rocky outcrops turn inward to make a little lagoon, and this keeps the water calm."
