The Uttar Pradesh Mango Festival will take place in Lucknow in June. This festival supports small farmers, women in agriculture and boosts the regions mangoes. (Slurp)

You can buy mangoes, have dishes like biryani with aam ki chatni, aam ka panna, salsa rolls with a mango twist and a mango eating competition.

Famous mangoes in UP-Dussehri, Amrapali, Mallika, Langda and Chaunsa. Kaleemullah Khan from Malihabad, known as the 'Mango King of India' has created over 300 varieties of mangoes.

Places and famous mangoes to try and visit- Kesar from Gujarat, Himsagar from West Bengal, Alphonso from Maharashtra and Karnataka has Badami, Raspuri and Mallika.

Mangalore grows some rare mango called Mundappa round in size, sweet and juicy. Totapuri you can eat raw, available plenty in Karnataka. Appemidi is a famous pickle dish in Karnataka one must try in summer. Hubli for Belgaum Badam"

Home cooks can compete in mango dishes, buy mango pickle jars, enjoy activities for children and even try out mango face packs. Since Lucknow will be hot in June wear cotton clothes.
