HolidayIQ Reviewer Anen khiam shares, “.Enjoyed the activities of skiing, snow motorbike, and we went crazy playing around in the snow. One should move out early around 4 a.m from Manali. That's how you reach the Rohtang pass on time ( around 8 a.m, depending on the traffic). Traffic is bad on the way up and even the roads are narrow so it takes time to reach the point. Remember to hire snowsuit, boots and ski's, there are plenty of shops to hire all those things on the way up. And lastly, many small roadside food dhabas are there, so there's no problem for eating but do carry plenty of water/juices as snow makes you feel dehydrated badly.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Rahul Chatterjee shares “Great place with limited access; We had taken an Innova to reach Rohtang Pass....The place was also good where the vehicles stop and we saw lot of snow. One can take rides on the scooter right on snow!” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sudeepa Deb shares, “Gulmarg gondola ride; We went on a horseback up to the Gondola ticket booth at Gulmarg. Took us Rs 100 for each person. The horseback ride lasted for about 10-15 mins and it was fun. Bargaining has to be done otherwise one ends up paying Rs 300-400 per person per side. In order to have a comfortable Gondola experienceAn enjoyable ride, about 10-12 mins one way. The scene below during the ride was breathtaking - the entire ground was covered with snow with small houses and roofs fully covered with snow. On reaching Kongdoor, we walked in the snow for 15-20 mins and then took another Gondola for a return journey to Gulmarg.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Saloni Goyal shares, “Local sightseeing involves a trek to the Thajwas Glacier. You need to hire ponies to reach Thajwas Glacier...If you have already visited Pahalgam, I feel like there's a little need to go there; but if you want, you again need to negotiate for those rides. There is also a fishing point and this is a verdant and beautiful place for fishing. A perfect place to go long walks and just slowing down the pace of life...Private vehicles are not allowed. You'll have to hire a taxi from Sonamarg by negotiating (around 2000 to 3000 INR along with gumboots and raincoat). From Sonamarg to Zero points it's about 15 km distance along NH 1D.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sumit Kumar says, “An awesome skiing and sightseeing destination; We visited Auli in the first week of February. It is a small place near Joshimath and important skiing destination. It was definitely worth the trip. It has the longest cable car in Asia and it took around 25 min for us to ascend from Joshimath to Auli. Other ways are via road or chairlift or ski lift. But road may be blocked due to fresh snowfall during that time...Activities on site: Skiing-Fresh snowfall and sloped hills make it a favourable place for skiing and you will love the experience...There is a separate route for trekking so you will enjoy trekking if you are up to it Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Smriti Das says, “We visited the snow-capped mountains at our left-hand side which maintained the border area of Tibet and on the right-hand side are the high peaked mountains are Kumaon (Uttarakhand) border hill ranges. We stayed there for one hour. We clicked many pictures including Chitkul Govt. High School (India's last high school) which is situated on the bank of Baspa river. Returning from Chitkul, it started drizzling & within an hour the surrounding mountains were covered with fresh snow and ideal for some strenuous trekking experience. After having breakfast our next excursion was to Chitkul, the last village of Sangla.Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Mustafa Hussain says, “Snow in May; Zero point is an hour drive from Yumthang valley. Being located at more than 13,000 feet above sea level, it has snow all around the year. We went in the last week of May, and there was a lot of snow for everyone to play with. It also provides you some breathtaking views of the Yumthang valley. Lack of oxygen at this height makes it a little more difficult to enjoy the snow, but still definitely worth a visit.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Shivakumar says “The best way to start your day when in Pokhara is visiting the sunrise point in Pokhara overlooking the snow clad mountains of the Annapurna range. We had the most blissful and out of the world experience. Sipping a cup of tea witnessing the magic of early morning light striking the mountains and the view of the valley unfold in front of you is a memory to cherish for a long time.” Read Full Review
