HolidayIQ Reviewer Sweekruti Pradhan says, “A very uncomfortable ride- I had recently been to Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary. We were a group of 4. A day earlier I had called up the Wildlife Office of Wayanad to ask about the safari timings and all. The safari was open, in spite of the heavy downpour. We reached there by 6.30 am since I was a bit apprehensive about missing the ride and the wildlife office said it was going to be a rush. The counter opened at 7.00am and the tickets cost was Rs 75 per head, then car parking charge, camera ticket etc. We were the first group to start, so I was hopeful and highly confident of catching a glimpse of a few elephants. The road inside the sanctuary was muddy, due to the heavy downpour the previous night. ... We saw a few spotted Deers, 3 pea-hens, 7 Indian Bison and the tail of an elephant(because it was very far from the jeep).” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Niladri Banerjee says, “The safari on Periyar lake is the best. Periyar Lake, situated ideally in the center surrounded by forests and mini hillocks, which are home to a wide variety of animals and birds as the gardens are in spices. There are these cruises (around 200 people capacity ) which offers ride across the Lake throughout the day. You can also take individual small boats if you wish to but the cruises provide a better view from the top and there are chairs which makes the ride very comforting.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Partha Sarathy adds, “Best elephant safari in Thekkady. We went to other elephant safari places in Thekkady and this is the best elephant safari in Thekkady. The Elephant ride they are taking is around 45 mins complete and the travel you feel you are in the real forest and no one around. Only you and elephant with their mahouts will travel. And the Elephant bath and shower is the one which you should never miss, the pond feels like you are in a real pond. The shower given by the Elephant is a must take. I thank the Elephants Sita and Meera who made our trip an enjoyable one. Even the price is a bit higher than other places, felt it is a value for money.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Ritu Parna adds, “Unwind yourself by getting into the wild Located at almost a distance of 250 km, Corbett could be one of the best weekend getaways. To book a safari online, one has to go through the procedure 30-45 days in advance. Taking a safari in the early morning is one of the best options to not miss spotting animals. Don't forget to carry a camera. One can rent a binocular from the entry gate. You can either take a gypsy safari or a canter safari depending on the time you have in hand. Carry some dry food with you because no refreshment is available inside. March onwards is the best time to visit here.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Raj Beniwal says, “A place worth visiting for jungle safari; Sariska Tiger Reserve, near Alwar in Rajasthan is the place worth visiting. You can reach there easily either from Delhi via Alwar (around 200 km from Delhi and around 40 km from Alwar) or from Jaipur which is around 120 km from Sariska (via Dausa). One should also visit Bhangarh, the most haunted city ruins of India en route Sariska. Bhangarh is around 90 km from Jaipur. Just took the jeep safari at Sariska and enjoy the wilderness of Sariska for next three hours. It's jaw-dropping beautiful and full of Deers, Monkeys, Boars, Peacocks, and if luck smiles on you, you can meet the Royal Bengal Tiger (Total 7 in number). ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Jaison Netto says, “An amazing place that shows the beauty of Wildlife It's an amazing place which shows the beauty of the wild. Amazing Kotta Vanchi Safari through the thick wild forest. Kotta Vanchi Safari available here is of two types. During summer season when the water is low, it will be a half an hour program where they will move the Kotta Vanchi through the small stream of water in between the thick woods. The second one is during the rainy season and it's a one hour program where the safari will be done through a stream moving downside and it will be a little bit like rafting to some extent. In my opinion, Its the best place to enjoy a cool morning or a chilly evening.” Read Full Review
