You have not travelled the Bangalore-Mysore road if you haven't noticed a traditionally styled complex close to Ramnagara, about 70 km from Bangalore, that houses the famous Kamat Lokaruchi. A place serving sumptuous traditional vegetarian food. The breakfast here is legendary and not to be missed. This place tends to get crowded in the mornings, but it's worth the inconvenience. Mysore Zoo also known as Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens is a 157-acre zoo located near the palace in Mysore, India. It is one of the oldest and most popular zoos in India, and is home to a wide range of species. Mysore Zoo is one of the city’s most popular attractions. There is a reptile park too which is quit popular. The zoo was opened to the public in 1902, and now includes a bandstand and an artificial lake. The zoo completed 100 years in 1992.

Brindavan gardens lies adjoining the Krishnarajasagara dam which is built across the river Kaveri. The work on laying out this garden was started in the year 1927 and completed in 1932. The garden has many plant species including species endemic to the general area. The fountains are lite up every evening presenting a brilliant sight. 

HolidayIQ tourist Naga says, "Visited this in the evening. The park was good and the lighting is just ok and not up to the mark. Contains lot of fountains in a sequence and also the musical fountain which plays according to the music is good and travellers can visit once to this place. For photos purpose go before the sunlight goes down other wise the lighting in the park will not give you good pictures."

Spend the night on the banks of the Kaveri at the historic city of Srirangapatna. The next morning visit the ruins of Tippu Sultans bygone era. His grave, palace and other significant monuments of that era. Also, visit the Sangam of 3 rivers - Kaveri River, Kabini River and Hemavati River. Leave in time to reach Bangalore before rush hour haunts you in the city.
