HolidayIQ and Tourism Authority of Thailand, Mumbai hosted a community meet-up recently called 'Thailand Through Her Eyes!’ What followed was an evening of authentic travel conversations over Thai food and drinks, peppered with just the right mix of traveller insights.

Thailand, as unanimously voiced by our community members, is one of the safest places for women travellers in Southeast Asia as they can set out to explore, shop and eat without worrying about their safety. The hospitality of the Thai people also added to make their experience in Thailand worthwhile.

The conversations brought out how Muay Thai, the ancient martial art of Thailand, was a sport you could watch to get enthralled and if you’re feeling adventurous, take a few lessons yourself. We got to know how convenient transport facilities like the cab, metro and tuk-tuks were, and going around the city is hassle-free. If you missed the event, we have got your back, hear what the women travellers from the meet-up have to say!

1. Shop till you drop at Bangkok!

HolidayIQ traveller Jyotika Narula says 'The Platinum Mall is the shoppers' paradise! So, many nice clothes you'll feel like buying everything. After a fun day of shopping, treat yourself to a soothing massage and grab a bite at one of the many restaurants.'

Chiang Mai has a lot to offer when it comes to history and culture. Places like Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chiang Man are must visits!

HolidayIQ traveller Anupama had a relatable query, 'I am an architect and have never been to Thailand. Wanted to know about the culture in Thailand, temples and structures, are they really that baffling and appealing?'

HolidayIQ traveller Deepika says 'One should definitely travel to Chiang Mai or Bangkok to embrace the Thailand culture. The old-world charm and modern style really add to its visual aesthetics! Thailand, in general, is very safe for women, so you go out any time without worrying.'

So many Bollywood and Hollywood movies get shot here for a reason, the reason being, all the secluded islands are gorgeous! The islands are administratively part of Krabi province.

HolidayIQ traveller Priyanka says "Climbing the side of a cliff to enter a secluded island would always be one of my most cherished memories. Thailand deserves multiple visits for all the Phi Phi Islands, as there is always so much left to see and explore."
