HolidayIQ traveller Mohit Agarwal shares his take on stays in Jaipur!

I had a long vacation this Holi. So after all the fun and frolic of playing with colours, I wad tired and just before heading to bed I urged my cousin to join me on a trip. We decided to reach the bus station then chalk out further. On reaching there, we thought of Jaipur. Took the last bus and reached the next morning. These are the hotels where we stayed and they are definitely worth trying out.

We checked in at around 6 AM. The hotel was nice and tidy and we got it for Rs.1000 for the day with breakfast. After a short rest, we tidied up and went down for the breakfast. It was quite simple with aloo paratha, bread butter, tea or coffee, juice and the quality was commendable. After breakfast, we checked out from here and headed to explore the city.

Day 2. Hotel Natraj is also close to the Sindhi Bus Stand

The stay here costs about 2000 rupees per day. There was no lobby and just a gallery which led to the elevators from the reception. The staff was commendable and so  were the rooms. It has a Punjabi style sitting are on the terrace but not so well-maintained. The morning breakfast was nice. They served idli, dosa, chole bature, bread and butter, fruits and juices.

Day 3. Hotel OM tower is close to Hotel Natraj

We decided to stay at OM tower to experience the feeling of the dining at the revolving restaurant at the top of the tower. The hotel sports a rooftop swimming pool on the 4rth floor of the building, the rooms were nice and had a glass-separated shower area. The food at the revolving restaurant was costly. The only thing good about the restaurant was the majestic city view and the live cultural music. Do stay here but don't go for the food. Breakfast was much better than the last two stays and had some dishes which were cooked on demand and tastes good. The stay for the night cost us Rs. 1200 and it was worth it.

Day 4. Hotel Royal Orchid is located on the Tonk Road

It was the best choice we have made on our trip. The hotel is replete with luxury, comfort, fun and delicious food. Since we checked in, in the morning we had enough time to enjoy all that the hotel had to provide. The rooftop pool was amazing and the city view from the terrace is mesmerising. The bathroom was great with a shower cabin, a bath tub, wardrobe, iron and a locker. An incident that occurred there left a slight blotch on me. Someone drove into another guest's car the previous night while it was parked in the lot. The hotel staff instead of apologising and accepting their carelessness were quite rude to the family including the ladies. Other than that the whole stay at just Rs.1200 was beyond great.

Day 5. We extended our stay just for The Theme hotel

We booked an executive room just for Rs.700. The room had an amazing view from their semi-circular windows which carpeted one complete wall on one side. Located close to the airport we could see flights landing and taking off. By the night the rooftop dining starts and the match was being screened. The room was large though the bathroom was simple, partitioned by a glass panel. Breakfast was good.
