Located on the banks of the Vishwamitri River, Baroda has a 2,000-year history of being ruled by Hindus, Pathans, Mughals and Marathas giving it a distinct culture.

Pritivi suggests,"the must-visit attractions around Baroda include the Laxmi Vilas Palace, Ajwa Nimeta Dam and the Nazarbaug Palace. The Laxmi Vilas Palace is the royal home of the Gaekwads. The style of Architecture used in building this iconic palace comprises both eastern and western types. The Ajwa Nimeta Dam is constructed on the Vishwamitri river and is 5 kilometers long. The Dam was constructed in the 20th century, Ajwa meaning Lake and Nimeta meaning Power Plant. The Nazarbaug Palace was constructed n the 18th century and is one of the oldest monuments in Baroda."

How to get these: 

By air: There is no direct flight from Ahmedabad Airport. 

By train: From Ahmedabad Junction, Baroda Railway Station can be reached in 2 hours by train.  

By Road: Baroda is 112 km from Ahmedabad, along the NE 1.

Nasik, also called the “Wine Capital of India" and is situated in the Western Ghats, on the banks of River Godavari. The city is also very popular as a religious centre

Parag says, "if one is seeking spirituality, Nashik has Trimbakeshwar, Kalaram Mandir, Someshwar, Saptashrungi Temple, also Mangi Tungi which is a sacred place for Jains."

How to get there: 

By air: The flight from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad to The Ozar Airport, located at Ozar, 15 km northeast of Nasik takes about 1 hour and 10 min

By train: The train from Ahmedabad Junction to Nasik Road Railway Station takes about 11 hours. 

By road: Nasik is 475 km from Ahmedabad through National Highways 48 and 848 traversing through Vadodara and Surat.

One of the largest beaches in North Goa, Calangute beach is the most happening beach in Goa when you enter the beach you will see its beauty and water sports which are done mostly there by all people. By air: The flight from Ahmedabad to Goa's Dabolim airport takes about 1 hour 45 min and Calangute is 40 km away by road.  

By train: The train from Ahmedabad Junction to Thivim, Goa, takes about 19 hours. Calangute is a 19 km drive from Thivim.   

By road: Calangute is 1080 km from Ahmedabad through National Highway 48 that traverses Mumbai, Pune and the scenic Western Ghats.

Baga is essentially an extension of the Calangute of Goa, which is just 2 km south of the village. The beach, situated just opposite the hamlet, is known for its brown sands and the Baga Creek. HolidayIQ reviewer Karan says, "Awesome shacks available, so there are no worries about food on the beach. It is one of the cleaner beaches of Goa. All sports activities available there including sunbathing facility."

The Mandovi River and Zuari River flow on the sides of the beach with backwater crocodiles and dolphins attracting tourists year-round. It is a popular fishing beach, with black rocks bordering the coastline.  Anup shares on HolidayIQ, "Jetski, banana and parasailing rides were awesome." The Baga beach is famous for its nightlife, shopping and food joints as well.
