HolidayIQ Reviewer Purna shares, “It is a decent Beach and is relatively clean. The best time to visit is during the evening as the sunset view is quite beautiful here. The beach is clean and suitable for bathing. One can enjoy the fishermen displaying their catch during fishing in their nets. Local street food is also available here making the beach an ideal getaway. Watching the sky changing its colours during sunset is a treat to watch. The beach though okay in cleanliness could be much improved with proper attention from the municipality. The beach is easily accessed by road and the drive is smooth. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sanu Varghese shares, “Thenmala is located in Kollam district in Kerala. It is close to the boundary of Tamil Nadu. You can see a lot of Tamil travellers there. But the climate and the Nature of Thenmala are purely of Kerala. The site consists of hill and forest areas. The Kallada River is flowing there and there is the huge Thenmala Dam – worth a visit – is present on the river. I enjoyed the great cool climate, a lot of monkeys, and the simplicity of the place. The place is eco-friendly. I walked through the dam areas. Cameras are allowed and it is very cheap in price, only Rs. 5 per person.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Kavita Sahgal adds, “The view was so beautiful that we couldn't control the urge to swim in the water. The experience can't be expressed in words. After crossing two such bridges, a small patch of houses, we reached this place. The double-decker bridge is an amazing example of people living with nature. The bridge was so firm that one can jump and dance over it without any worry. The most beautiful part of the journey was the waterfall over which the double-decker bridge exists. A few village kids were fishing in the turquoise water and beside us, there were no other tourists. We spend hours swimming in the water until more people started pouring in. This was one of the many travel moments which I would cherish forever. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sourav Roy adds, “There are many beaches in West Bengal but if you need a peaceful one, this is it. The beach is long enough and there are some food stalls available too. The sea is very calm, so one who fears the water or sea does not have to worry. You must visit the Henry's Island, Jambu Dwip, and the deer and crocodile parks, which will give you great pleasure. For sightseeing, you may rent a pickup van which is very cheap and will give you a new experience. There are many hotels but if you want to have good service choose the Dolphin Hotel. The hotel manager and staff are very helpful. You have to contact the hotel for advance bookings.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Swakhar Pachal shares, “The Jheel is just beside of Santragachi railway station and about 14 km from Kolkata. The easiest and cheapest way to reach Santragachi just takes a local train from Howrah station towards Medinipur (Kharagpur local, Medinipur local, Panskura local). Santragachi is just after three stations from Howrah station (nearly 10 km) and it costs you only 5 rupees. From Santragachi station one can don't need any transport to reach the Jheel. It is just beside the railway station. The Jheel is a normal water body actually, but in winter it becomes a birdwatchers paradise. A lot of migratory birds, especially water birds, visit the Jheel every winter.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Narender Narender adds, “This is a good option for those families who want to have a one day picnic. There is a boating option available which is, of course, paid but is not up to expectations. There is a small playground for the kids so the kids can enjoy themselves too. We came across tree houses which are built beautifully and it is a pleasure to see them. There are also some animal crafts made from junk metal which are crafted superbly. Shilparamam is definitely a place for shopping too but a bit costly. We can find hand crafted hand bags, bed sheets, curtains, toys and so on. They would definitely attract the tourists.” Read Full Review
