HolidayIQ Reviewer Govindan Naganathan says "This fort is maintained by ASI and is in a fairly good condition. As you enter the fort a staff member of the fort explains the history of the fort (in Malayalam). The gardens are well kept and you can see few cannons at the entrance as well as inside the fort. Some of the cannons are facing the sea along the fort wall from where the view of the sea is very beautiful. There is also a lighthouse in the fort premises from where one can see the Mappila Bay which is a fishing harbor. The entry to the fort is free and the fort is open from 8 am to pm."

HolidayIQ Reviewer Joji Joseph says "If you are interested in driving along sandy beach this is the right place. The long stretch of sands and not so rough sea are really a nice sight and we can see people driving various vehicles along the beach. The walk along the rock formations, swimming, water sports etc makes the beach more prominent among other beaches."

HolidayIQ Reviewer Nandagopal R says "Beautiful drive in beach, spellbinding sunset, it looked so picture perfect. You should go there just before twilight and enjoy the sunset. We went driving there during evening and had a great time."

HolidayIQ Reviewer Joji Joseph says "With a legacy of about 400 years, the palace (Punnathur Kotta) built by the rulers (Punnathur Kings) became a temple property and the yard surrounding the palace was converted to an elephant shelter. The palace built in a traditional Nalukettu style was converted into a mahout training center. Gradually people started calling it the Anakotta (Elephant Fort). We can see about 80 tamed Elephants here all belonging to the Guruvayoor Temple authorities which are donated by devotees. Majority of the devotees who come to Guruvayoor Temple make it a point to visit Anakotta too where you can see Baby Elephants, aged ones, few chained elephants "

HolidayIQ Reviewer Akhil Vikraman says "The place is the home for the biggest land beasts alive, elephants. The beauty and boldness with which they stand attracts every tourists. Each and every elephant is taken good care so that neither the animal nor human get hurt in anyway. The elephants suffering from any problems are locked away in separate cages, so that they won't come in contact with tourists."
