What is the PILF all about?



4 years since its conception, the Pune International Literary Festival brings together over 150 authors, writers, filmmakers, artists, and various other personalities every year where visitors get to listen, learn and interact with them.


Where and when is PILF happening?


The Pune International Literary Festival is scheduled to take place in September on the 28th, 29th & the 30th. PILF is held annually at Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (Yashada).


What happened in PILF last year?

The Pune International Literary Festival- 2017 was inaugurated by sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. The three day fest had over 70 sessions in different categories like adult fiction, non-adult fiction, young adults, Marathi, Hindi and media. The central theme of PILF-2017 was ‘Voice of Women’. PILF-2017 also had an exclusive exhibition covering the life and work of Jane Austen.

Rajiv Mehrotra, Shabana Azmi,  Sreemoyee Piu Kundu and Javed Akhtar were some of the noted speakers at PILF last year.
